Backfire: Trump soars 5 points in IBD/TIPP poll after Democrats go rabid

Are Democrats the biggest idiots alive?

A new poll from IBD/TIPP (the most reliable, by the way) shows that President Trump has soared five fat points in the wake of Democrats' ragefest against him over illegal immigration. Our president is looking more presidential to the voters, and the left seems to be eating itself.

Seriously, many warnings have gone out that Democrats staking their future on open borders, hollering about 'the children' isn't working at all. As Trump soars, it turns out they're digging their own grave.

Investor's Business Daily's John Merline writes:

Increasingly bitter and aggressive attacks on President Trump managed to bolster his approval rating, which climbed 5 points to reach the second highest level of his presidency, the latest IBD/TIPP Poll finds.

The July poll found that 41% approve of the job Trump is doing. That's the first time he's been above 40% since March 2017, and just 1 point below his highest approval rating of 42% during his first month in office. Fifty-four disapprove of his job performance.(snip)

A poll like this is bound to get Democrats' attention, the smart ones at least, the ones who strategize behind closed doors. It's quite possible that if they don't dismiss this poll (which they know was oh so right on election night 2016) outright, they'll start telling their rabid denizens to cool it if they want to maintain any hope for their vaunted blue wave come November. If we see quietude from the left, we'll know they believe it.

On the other hand, this is the left we are talking about, the rabid rabid left, in full mouth-foaming glory, and as Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit points out, all they have to do is not be crazy - and they can't even do that.

They polled 900 “people”, not registered voters or likely voters, just 900 people. Add a good 6-7 points onto this and Trump is doing pretty well.

[ they’ll start telling their rabid denizens to cool it if they want to maintain any hope for their vaunted blue wave come November.]

Oh the Democrat leadership might try to send that message to their supporters, but the hysteria from the Looney left is far to progressed to try to rachet it back at this point. It’s going to come to the point where the infighting in the Dem party will be epic!

But Trump approval ratings matters to unknown extent in certain states and districts?
How is he doing in states GOP wants to pick up in the Senate as well as fighting to hold on as in Nevada?
How well must Trump be doing in November to help a candidate? 50% or better.

If I was a “political science” student I would be taking notes right now. There are lessons to be learned.

Against almost impossible odds, President Trump is moving his agenda along.

The 24/7 hate from news media, education centers, the DOJ and FBI as well as the courts have barely slowed him down.

The question for the political science students is how is he able to do it?

1st He has more experience then his critics give him credit with.

2nd He told us what he intends to do. He delivers (for attempts to deliver) on those promises.

3rd He is not afraid to fight back.

4th While willing to compromise he will not surrender his principle just for a win.

5th He does not care what others think of him or the names they call him. He lets his action speak for him.

Add to that he is a “people person” and is comfortable with himself. A good trait for a businessman or a politician.

Hill and O created a lovely leadership void for themselves. Built of cards. Funny thing about vacuums, they always fill themselves.

Are Democrats the biggest idiots alive?

Well, yeah. They should not have stolen the nomination from Bernie Sanders. Now they have candidates who are so far left that Sanders is Deplorable by comparison.

The problem is entrenched 'pubs are the second biggest idiots alive, with a strong hatred of their voting fodder. They might be able to keep their majorities without mending their ways if crazies keep talking about accepting everyone in the world with open arms.

2 Jul: Rasmussen Reports: More Voters Now Want Merit-Based Immigration, Not Family-Based
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters now favor moving to a merit-based system for legal immigration that brings in legal immigrants based on their skills. Support for merit-based immigration has been on the rise since President Trump first proposed it in April of last year.

Thirty-four percent (34%) of voters prefer to keep the existing family-based system, showing little change from previous surveys, but 16% are undecided...

Heller -4 latest poll

Consider the concentration of maniacs in southern CA and a few other un-American concentrations of power. That's probably a "positive" in a majority of districts and states.

President Trump would be hugely popular in Australia if he helps get Aussies out of the Paris Agreement.

3 Jul: SMH: Latika Bourke: Follow Donald Trump on climate, Tony Abbott urges Prime Minister
The former (Prime Minister, Tony Abbott) now says he never anticipated the climate change reduction targets he signed up would be binding.
Delivering the 2018 Bob Carter Commemorative Lecture in Melbourne, Mr Abbott said he had never thought reducing greenhouse gas emissions was worth doing, unless it could be done at a modest cost.
He said despite the rate of carbon in the atmosphere increasing from 300 to 400 parts per million there had been no “dramatic consequences” on the climate.
“Storms are not more severe; droughts are not more prolonged; floods are not greater; and fires are not more intense than a century ago – despite hyperventilating reportage and over-the-top claims from Green politicians,” the former prime minister said...

“Sea levels have hardly risen and temperatures are still below those of the medieval warm period.
“Over time, temperature change seems to correlate rather more with sun spot activity than with carbon dioxide levels,” he claimed...
But Mr Abbott said the public was” inclined to believe that something is happening” “and that “something needs to be done” because they are “egged on by media scare stories and attention-seeking academics”.
“But our children won’t thank us when their power bills keep soaring and their jobs keep going offshore in a futile bid to make the world imperceptibly cooler,” he said...

Mr Abbott said that with President Donald Trump withdrawing the United States from the Paris agreement Australia should follow suit.
“Our 2015 target, after all, was set on the basis that the agreement would be ‘applicable to all…parties,” he said.
“Absent America, my government would not have signed up to the Paris treaty, certainly not with the current target.

“Withdrawing from the Paris agreement that is driving the National Energy Guarantee would be the best way to keep prices down and employment up; and to save our party from a political legacy that could haunt us for the next decade at least.”...

I think the shadowy leaders of the left know they aren’t going to slow or change what potus is doing. They are using this time to shove the demoncrats further left. They know ‘open bordes, abolish ICE” is a losing idea—for now.

They’ll just keep hammering that idea into heads of mush. And free everything of course.

Trump is doing pretty well.

Trump is winning but most importantly, he's acting like a winner and he's not ashamed of winning. He's having fun winning!

People like winners. Winning is fun!

Inversely, The Democrats are losing and are behaving like losers.

People don't like losers.

People not only like winners but they like being a part of the winning team. Trump is going to pull more people to his camp with his winning behavior.

I thought about that but then considered the fact without power they can not do anything.

Their move (further) left is not gaining them anything. In fact there is evidence that they are losing support.

I have also seen stories hint they want the talk about open borders, impeachment and getting rid of ICE to stop as well.

They see that there is a wave building for November but it is not BLUE but RED and it is being created by all the hate being generated towards President Trump.

If Republicans get a few more seats in the Senate and the House there is no telling where President Trump will lead this nation. Years of slow work by the left could be washed away (especially if there is another justice or two for the courts. Something the left could only dream about is happening while a Republican is in office).

No I don’t think the behind the scene puppet masters like that they lost control over their creation.

Dear America,

Meet The New Stupid Party.

The Old Stupid Party now has a new leader named Donald J. Trump and contrary to what you may have heard the past 2 years . . . the man is far from stupid and for a political newbie has miraculously shown the D Party and The Media to be anti-American towards We The People.

I think more and more GOP candidate will grow a spine during this coming election season. Can’t wait to see the ads this fall. The ads are just writing themselves these days.
