MIAMI, Fla. (WCTV) The man accused of a burglary in Tallahassee, and a rape and kidnapping in Casselberry, is also suspected in a violent home invasion in South Miami. Investigators believe 32-year-old Benjamin Hovan broke into a retired womans home in South Miami on the 4th of July, pistol-whipped her and robbed her. He stole a 2006 silver Mercedes Benz from the victim, as well as an expensive bracelet and ring, police say. South Miami investigators say surveillance cameras in the area captured Hovan. Hovan was arrested Thursday in Titusville, for burglarizing an apartment in Casselberry, holding two women at knifepoint and raping one of the women on June 30th. On Friday, police released body camera video showing Hovan running from officers before being tasered and taken into custody.
