but she sounds almost gleeful about it...proud....like she did a heroic act...

I work with a lot of younger women and this unfortunately is their mindset...except for a few devout Catholic/Mormon types....

I just read a Facebook post where a woman said getting the average abortion was no different than exfoliating skin from your face.
I have heard them say things like that for years...it still feels like a stab in the heart to read or hear things like that. No longer shocks me but still breaks my heart.
Whenever I’m roped into a discussion about abortion with a leftist, I just tell them that I too support the founder of Planned Parenthood’s opinion about the negro race. Shuts them up right quick.

I normally ‘don’t bother’ but when the ‘girls’ start spouting this crap I ask if they do not see the irony in the women that started a campaign to withhold sex from men who wouldn’t back abortion.
I still firmly believe that it is certainly a shame that these so called ‘hardliners’ didn’t have parents that have the same deep rooted thoughts about life and birth as the idiot kids do.

Saw a good one yesterday about the guy on the ground looking up to the heavens and saying “I Don’t believe you anymore, there is still cancer, aids etc etc etc”... the clouds break and a roaring voice.

When it comes to people like this ahem woman who say "I couldn't manage a kid so I killed it" - it is similar to saying that of a 2 year old.
Of course she knows she murdered her baby. Many of the most rabid pro-aborts try to drown their guilty conscious by over-the-top promotion of abortion. If they can get others to criticize them for their heinous act, they can feel defensive, which helps to divert those feelings of guilt. Also, by pushing others to commit the same act, they can tell themselves that it must not be bad since so many others have done it also.
Notice that no one ever defends having an appendectomy or having wisdom teeth pulled, and usually cannot even remember when they had those operations. But women who have killed a child can usually tell the exact date of the murder and say how old the child would be today if they would have let it live. That is suppressed guilt at play.
There is no "most likely" here. At the time this women killed her child, he or she had a beating heart and, more importantly, a functioning nervous system. The nervous system forms between three and five weeks after conception. Once cells differentiate into tissue types, they function as that tissue type. Thus, nervous system cells send messages to each other. Those messages are what we subjectively feel and think. That baby was aware until his or her life was snuffed out.
I'm also stricken by an admission that this woman made regarding her decision to get pregnant. She did so for the man's benefit--he did not respect her desire to use birth control, and she had sex with him anyway. Who really benefited from her willingness to abort her baby? For all of the claims of feminism, it looks to me like readily available abortion has made women into sex objects more now than they ever were before the ramping up of "feminism" in the 1970s.
Women who abort become incapable of developing a healthy relationship with the children they do not abort. They either fail to bond properly or become pathologically overprotective and overbearing. Come to think of it, I wonder how much prior abortions feed into the phenomenon of helicopter parenting...

How about the choice to not have sex without contraception, if you don’t want to get pregnant. It’s not an issue of feminism or sexism. Males and females have personal responsibilities when engaging in consensual sex. If you had the baby, the man involved would be responsible for child support, with no legal choice in the matter. Those would be the consequences and responsibilities of his actions. The choice part comes before the pregnancy, not after.

The abortion rate is a little over half of what it was a few years after Roe v. Wade. Don't you think that a large factor in that drop is that the women who felt that way in the 1970s and 1980s killed their kids and did not have living kids (either by choice or because abortion left them unable to carry a child to term)? They are removing themselves and tbeir lack of maternal instinct out of the gene pool by choice. Of course there are fewer of them.
