I grew up in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. I watched the community go from Jews to Puerto Rican to finally Russian. It was like huge moving vans showed up one day and the next day there were no Puerto Ricans, a few Jews and the rest Russian.

I’m with you, only it’s Ukrainians where I live. They are the most arrogant and rude people I’ve ever encountered. It’s too early to say whether their offspring will be Americanized enough.
We have a pretty good sized Russian enclave in our area. No problems I know of. At least compared to the Muslims and illegal Hispanics here who are totally undesirable.
