North of Atlanta, the Publix stores fade out, and Kroger takes their place. I’ll have to see if Kroger sells Nathan’s. I’m pretty sure I have seen their packaged hot dogs in Meijer.

Still it’s Made in USA through and through. And its Chinese owner will probably barf this division up, and sell to one of the big American meat processors, once the Chinese credit bubble bursts. In other words, the same thing that happened with the popping of the Japanese bubble in the late 80’s.

Publix does not have a Spy Card (like Kroger and other stores require for their deals), and treats all of its customers with respect. Publix is great.
