Back in 2014, Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper dropped off their war-drama American Sniper. The duo will return, this time with Eastwood also starring, for a new film based on a true story. Entitled The Mule, Eastwood's latest drama draws influence from the story of World War II veteran Leo Sharp. Sharp was the oldest known drug mule, moving cocaine for the Sinaloa Cartel until his arrest in 2011 at the age of 87.

I’m not sure I want to feel sorry for Clint Eastwood, or a a character he plays.
That said, I wonder if some of this is some sort of reflection/statement about Clint’s own “family man” style of life, i.e. lots of women/kids, not drugs.
It’s probably a reflection on not too many stories in which he can star at his age.

It’d be easy enough for him to just direct or do nothing, and I greatly respect his career, but the trailer/plot doesn’t interest me.
