This over-populated, third world, s-hole spends money on a statue when 70% of the country has no toilets.
... aaaand the punchline? This from Economic Times/India article about this (apparently modest) gentleman:
“Sardar Patel was completely against building statues and memorials.”
Interesting.
Because he tried to ally with Hitler...
Along the Main St of my town are about 25 so-called “Traveler Hotels”. Stay by the day, week, month, what have you.
About 80% are owned by the Patel family the rest owned by another Indian named family I cant recall.
I think the name Patel is like Smith in the USA.
Here is one I would like to visit.
Stalingrad! Oh, God! Five months, two million KIA.
Yakov Pavlov!
The Motherland Calls
The work of sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich and engineer Nikolai Nikitin is an 85 metre figure of a woman stepping forward with a raised sword. The statue is an allegorical image of the Motherland, which calls on its sons and daughters to repulse the enemy and continue their further attack.

Shouldn’t the statue be of him pouring coffee at the 7-11?
LOL, how about having him doing "The Charleston"?
They could’ve lost the towels and really made ‘em heroic.
(I think the smallest one is the statue of David)
It looks like a family, with the child pointing to the future.
No wonder the f-ing critics hate it.
The pose is kind of...blah, but...the size is very impressive! I guess it is just another Internet thing to poke fun at.
I admit to liking the pose of the Statue of Liberty in contrast...it looks...dynamic.
The Soviet statue has an interesting pose too, but as a rule, I despise most Soviet things like that. The woman looks like a dude. I have always hated the Soviet propaganda art, and this looks like a 3D representation. But I do like the pose...
I’ll have to view that on the newer machine.
Meanwhile, a smaller but still large scale:

If the local imams don't like it, #1, nice job, and #2, behead the silly bastards and put their heads on stakes near the statue. Just an idea. I think remember that North Korea was the contractor on this job.
Man worships man.
Are they the guys who asked my sister to pay her back takes or the police were on their way to arrest her with gift cards from Walmart?
And with Stalin, both before and after Hitler.
Yes...and they sell after market automobile warranties! Grrr.
Yeah, I call them Red Dot Inns. I refuse to stay in one
