The minute the state recognizes his age at less-than-the-pension level...the pension will end. I think his suspicion is that the authorities will think long and hard about this and realize the impact.
You could easily have a 12-year old kid go and approach a lawyer, with the opposite situation...wanting the authorities to recognize him as being ‘18’....thus being open for a driver’s license. Or perhaps obtaining a gun permit, hunter’s license, etc.
But his point is that they are already faking the system by blinking and saying a man can be a woman, or a woman could become a man.....so he’s just going the one extra step.
