The scandal-plagued ACORN may no longer exist, but its tarnished legacy lives on in court, as the activist group and its former employees face criminal punishment.
So far this year, at least 18 former workers have admitted guilt or been convicted on varying charges of election fraud. The punishment has ranged from probation to several months of prison time.
ACORN, once a powerful advocate for low-income and minority voters, shuttered its operations amid plummeting revenues in March, six months after conservative activists posing as a pimp and prostitute caught on video some of the group's employees offering them tax advic

I’m so disgusted at this whole thing. Please please please someone stop this charade.
THE R CONTROLLED house has 2 years to pass bills making cheating more difficult.
I assume they had this power and a president that would have approved it.
They did nothing.
If congress has NO power over this issue, feel free to correct me as I am often wrong :)
ACORN still exists under dozens of new names.
That was James O’Keefe’s shining moment.
Back when the Dems actually got charged prosecuted for their crimes. Back before the endless, phony, costly, off the mark and inconclusive ‘investigations’ replaced indictments.
James has tried many times to equal or top that high water mark, but been only moderately successful thus far.
The public knows his modus operandi now, so it’s not so easy to work undercover. Even still, O’Keefe performed a valuable public service in helping to deflate the Acorn hot air balloon.
The House leadership under Ryan had no interest in doing anything but tax cuts and hindering Trump in every other area.
They are subversives. Their illegal actions will win them a high place in the democrat party. They don’t see it as a crime.
So while we have a right to be VERY angry about this whole forever vote counting until you get your desired outcome thing going on...
I can’t help but think HOW MANY TIMES we have had both chambers and nothing incredible came out of it.
We spent the early 2000s focusing on “freedom fries” and raising the debt under an R house, senate and presidency.
Now we’ve just squandered another 2 years not passing NEARLY enough on Trump’s agenda.
Yeah i’m VERY upset we don’t have the house now.
I’m NOT so sure how much they would have gotten done.
And since I only learned the other day that the house has NO say in court picks, I feel a little better about the situation.
Let’s PREPARE for 2020, and perhaps Trump’s coat tails will bring us the house again.
Yeah im VERY upset we dont have the house now.
What if by some tremendous miracle that the House returns to Republican control even way before 2020. *cough, cough* What if military tribunals for *cough*vote tabulation fraud all over the U.S.? *cough* and *COUGH* Dem victories overturned *COUGH* resulting in the true RED TSUNAMI *GAK*. Sorry about all that coughing, so much smoke in the air in SoCal from the fires.
Gee, I wonder if they have continued to do that or have turned over a new leaf and are now honest?
Please please please someone stop this charade.
That has to us, you and me and him.
Us getting control in local GOP chapters. Us in local school boards. Us at pols as challengers. Us writing for local newspapers. Us giving money to patriot groups and conservative reps. Us going door to door every election. Us doing class action lawsuits. Us charging treason. Us gathering in strength. Us.
The Acorn expose was indeed a high water mark, but I feel that his more recent work (Particularly the one where he got the operatives to brag on camera about hiring mentally ill people to wreak havoc at conservative rallies, and having reliable union thugs at his beck and call, and the deliberate “bird dogging” of conservatives to provoke a fight for Leftist propaganda purposes) is very powerful, but I feel the media has fully gotten on the bandwagon to describe his work as illegal, underhanded, and immoral.
And I think that has blunted his good work.
