Disney trying to squeeze every last dollar from its franchises. How is this "live-action"? Is it "live" in the sense that the actors are wearing those CGI sensor suits? The question I ask myself is WHY?????

I already know how it ends.....

A bunch of suits at Disney cashing in their bonus checks while little Jimmy who went to the park to look for simba is wondering why the mean man wearing a dress won't let him leave the restroom?

It looks realistic. I wouldn’t go or take any child to it. The original was dramatic enough.

The original was great. If Disney had stuck to making animated features like it and the Little Mermaid; they would be sitting pretty today. Instead they had to go completely off the deep end with the PC crap.

Admittedly, the CGI is stunning.

But yeah, the amount of effort put into doing a remake when it could be put into original content has me scratching my head.

Almost as much as the Dumbo remake - which activists have all but eliminated any elephants from circuses around the world.

No Duane “The Rock” Johnson?

I thought they passed a law that he had to be cast in every franchise reboot now.

Have to disagree. “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph” were both very good. Granted, my reaction to “Frozen” was “Meh....”.

The king dies, the kid becomes king.
Same story as the McCain-Kennedy-Bush-Schumer roadmap.
And the same one which eventually gave us WWI

Because parents will flock with their kids to see it. Kids do not care if they have seen a movie 100 times before if they like it.
