Worked for a CINC as well as XVIII ABC Cdr as SGS NCOIC. Discussions with both indicated that promotions were simply a function of first racial and gender preferences, and each race whether male or female competed within their slice of the promotion pie. Essentially you got a more competitive white male and female selection rate due to affluent education than in other minorities- you compete as a black female against only other black females (etc.) on any board. Combat Arms suffers from this balance but Leadership pushes and is recognized by one and all as good or bad.
I sure do miss those AFKN and AFN commercials overseas, a rape sp pi t 8 times during a football game is a bit much.
