Hey folks ……….

I‘m old and not well.

Unhappily, I am very ignorant about computers.

I want to transfer a couple of my old dogs’ pictures to my profile page ……… before it’s too late. But I need some help to do it.

The dogs have a certain feeling about me, and I’d like to leave them here for you to know me a bit.

Does anyone know how to tell a computer illiterate like me how to pass two dog (.jpg’s) to my profile page????

I’d like to let you all know who I am before it’s too late. The two poochies say nearly everything.

Love from here ………..

That is the nicest thing any Freeper has said to me in a while...usually I get “YOUR POSTS ARE TOO LONG!” and that’s about it...:)

I can help him out - he is going to contact me.

I’ll always feel better knowing Vendome’s thumb is shielding me from the Instant Zot of my maker!

If you don’t want to use the big services, like Imgur... this one is handy. Uploading to here will give you a link you can paste elsewhere, or into the upload controls if they let you use a web link.

And regards to you, I hope that you will find some joy, though I know not how to show you the way.

Call a grandchild to come and do it for you. They’ll have it done before dinner.

Dogs are important.

Bingo!

Have found it quite easy to develop strong and permanent bonds with both dogs and horses. At this point in our evolution it is very natural, mutually rewarding and healthy.

Presently dogless, after having enjoyed the companionship of many dogs, I was astonished to discover the reality that owners are more "dear" to dogs than the reverse!

IMHO, it's a lot easier to control thee size of the image using the width="?%" modifier to the img tag. The aspect ratio is handled automatically and the image is sized according to the viewing screen.

Using your example:

width="10%" yields:

width="20%" yields:

width="40%" yields:

width="60%" yields:

width="80%" yields:

Handy gadget. Can end overscanned graphics on FR forever.

You can't load them directly. You have to fins a site on the internet that hosts putting pictures on their servers. Once there then you can reference them using the HTML img src= command.

This is a site that hosts photos

Google search results page for photo hosting sites.

Once you have a site that you uploaded your photos to, you can send me a Freep Mail and I will provide you with the HTML code to show your pictures on your page.

You may not know how to store digital pictures, but you can use the plural possessive correctly. That’s super cool.

Funny...I have had the privilege of meeting many Freepers in person, and I have always been fascinated and gratified to find that my online assessments of people I have never personally met are remarkably validated.

So to have you say something like that is meaningful to me. Thanks.

The fact you love your dogs and want to share them with the rest of us - tells me many nice things about you. If you have health issues I’ll include you in my prayers. OK, I’ll include you even if you don’t have heath issues... always enjoy your threads and comments...
