Exactly, and bears repeating. If you are obsessed with race, you are racist. You may be otherwise a perfectly nice person, but you are a racist.

A lot of people are. Most of them, if they are Americans, are Democrats. In fact, if you are obsessed with race, God bless you, that's your party.

If you are not obsessed, if you are more interested in a person's character, principles, things like that, you are probably not a Democrat. You might even wear a Maga cap on special occasions.

In Việt Nam mothers dream of marrying their daughters off to American men because Americans have a reputation there of being the only people in the world who are not by custom and habit wife beaters. A mother with a widowed daughter who has a child or two especially wishes for an American husband for her daughter because American men have the rep of taking a woman and her children as a package while all others, even Aussies and Brits say the child has to go somewhere else. Only Americans will, in that situation raise another man's child.

American men also have a rep from experiences in the war of being quick to help strangers in distress. The rest of the world limits their offers of aid to relatives.

Right after the war in the later 70s it was different because the government promoted hatred for the half caste children we left behind but that changed as the people began to prosper a bit and stopped listening to the Vi Xi (Vee Cees, their term for government people).

She is a racist idiot. My wife is Chinese, grew up in SF’s China Town. We have been together 26 years. I could care less what her race is...and she feels likewise. Mind you she is very aware of her ethnicity...but it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference in our relationship.

It is revealing that liberals (who see themselves as the moral elite, and while actually being guilty of real major sins yet they fear being guilty of political incorrectness) see themselves being complicit in such a "mortal sin" but a baker who contracts to provide a $pecial cake for the express purpose of celebrating something that is against his faith (as well as the highest state law at the time) should have no qualms but just do his job.
