Glad to know it’s being talked about.
Pesky and revolves around....
Was that article written by a 13 year old?
Electromagnetic radiation generator. Because there isn’t enough leukemia around.
He’s working on his lap top
Samsung Support: "While that may seem to be a problem, it is not a bug. It is a feature."
Probably off topic but maybe it was a precursor to what we are now seeing with Samsung
From that tower Tesla wanted to give the people free electricity. All the money men investors then backed out.
“There goes my AM radio reception.”
There is a small electrical substation about 500 feet from us at the end of the cul-de-sac. Several years ago they made some major improvements to it. Our cell phones used to work just fine, now our reception is terrible - both inside or outside the house.
I imagine that the increased EM field with the larger capacity substation is interfering with them.
Years ago I had a battery-operated analog TV. Its screen was only about 4 inches & broadcast in black & white. It had an attached, adjustable single antenna, & IIRC ran on 4 C-cell alkaline batteries, same as a portable radio.
There was also AM-FM radio at the flip of a switch.
I could only get local TV or radio stations, but during emergencies (’89 Loma Prieta quake) it was a great gadget to have.
The advent of high-def TV rendered it obsolete.
But you can still buy battery operated radios/ boomboxes. I wonder why no TVs?
Time to move. Or decommission those “improvements”. Manually.
Tesla was working this in the late 19th century. There was an old Avengers TV show that also dealt with this about 50 or so years ago, Broadcast Power, transmitting power with out wires and a grid. It would be great, if it can work.

I gave those to each of my young adult kids some time in the early 80s————I inherited one and used it,plugged in,on my kitchen counter until about 4 years ago.
IIRC it was a Panasonic.

May find thread interesting ping :)
We used to use those during hurricane power outages.
Last hurricane we received most news updates via an iPad and cellular service (since wifi was out, along with power).
Too bad no one is improving the content. Thanks Bloody Sam Roberts.
Yeah - don’t get between the power source and the device - the arc will make you regret it....
I still have one. Why I keep it...who can say? I'm a pack rat sometimes. The reason they don't make them anymore is the advent of digital TV broadcasts. Analog is all but gone.
It definitely is. Back then it was discussed as the “first phase”. And your rechargeable tooth brush does something similar.
I dunno. It sounds the same.
Maybe they've come up with a modification of a WaveCage...

"WaveCage"
Soften The Impact of Wireless Radiation
Most wireless devices are overpowered so that their signal reaches way farther than necessary. And there are times when you want to reduce the strength of this wireless radiation, but not completely kill the signal. WaveCage does exactly that.
Designed to be leaky, it permits only a fraction of the RF radiation to penetrate. Exposure to people is reduced (typically 90-99% reduction), and the device usually still works, but with a more limited range. Great for when you permanently or temporarily want to quiet microwave levels without fully turning off the source.
