Mission
The Key Foundations mission is to provide guidance, encouragement, and opportunity to disadvantaged students around the world.
Since its founding in 2014, the Key Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has touched the lives of hundreds of students that would never have been exposed to what higher education could do for them. Many of these students have only known life on the streets, surrounded by the gang violence of the inner-city. The Key Foundation, directly
I love the way that people believe a carefully constructed test system will just provide a 400pt improvement on re-test. Talk about neon signs. And privilege, and $.
Frank Merriwell is hanging his head in shame . . .
Desperate Housewife to Disgraced Housewife.
Headline is misleading, Lori Loughlin girls got into USC as fake rowing athletes. USC is not Ivy League.
Why is the FBI running around conducting investigations like this? And into college coaches paying recruits? Why aren't they going after terrorists? And criminals like the Clintons?!
Why would any rational person be surprised? Liberals are never trustworthy. One a person has altered their conscience to acquiesce in the wholesale killing of pre born human life, they are capable of any moral transgression. They won’t lose any sleep using bribes to get their dullard kids into college. Relatively minor stuff for them.
Here’s my guess - wealthy, celebrity parents, self-centered and busy with their own lives, raised a couple of Jr. Kardashians, worried about image, partying and lacking any self-discipline.
If they simply nurtured and required the kids to actually study during high school, entry into UCLA and USC should have been achievable.
Stanford is nearly impossible to gain entry to. Out of 1200 in the freshman class, 300+ are star athletes. The remaining 800-900 are the smartest and most competitive kids, from around the world, not just the USA. Maybe a $5-10 million naming right for a building would have helped, but not much.
NBC, of course, already lied in their article:
“There’s no indication that the schools were involved in any of the wrong-doing.”
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/feds-uncover-massive-college-entrance-exam-cheating-plot-n982136
I guess bribing college officials, coaches and college entrance exam administrators don’t count, right NBC?
"a number of school coaches are scheduled to plead guilty today"
If coaches were taking bribes, it sounds like the schools WERE involved.
“... at Ivy League schools like Georgetown University, Stanford University, UCLA,...”
Editors? Do you not see the problem here?
Lori always had crazy eyes, imo. Her acting smile never reaches her eyes. Don’t know why she is so popular.
Obviously whiteys, or else they would have been admitted on the basis of skin color.
Who were the other 31 parents? Why not provide the entire list? Any politicians in the Despicable 33?
Never heard of either of these females...
I pulled my own scam to get into Yale lo these many (48!) years ago. I had blown my Harvard interview — sat there stiff as a board and couldn’t find my groove — so for my Yale interview the following week I got smart. I asked if the interviewer could come to my house (this was in California.) I told my mother when the guy came to let him in, tell him I was in the living room and then go upstairs. I turned off all the lights downstairs and lit a big fire in the fireplace. Spread out a mess of papers on the table in front the fire. Had Beethoven’s 7th Symphony blasting from the speakers high on the walls flanking the fire. Sat with my back to the door scribbling furiously on the papers, by firelight. When I heard the guy come in I held up my left hand, like, hang on a second, and kept scribbling, with great intensity — milked it as long as I could — and finally finished writing, turned and looked at the guy as if I was still lost in my thoughts, like, remind me while you’re here? All with the Beethoven blasting. I saw the look in the guy’s eyes and knew right then that I was going to New Haven. Seems like a pretty innocent scam by comparison...
