the teachers are to blame......you don’t let a kid get beaten in class and sit there like a cement block....

Got a kid in my unit who cannot fill out a job app despite the fact he’s a Junior in HS. Homeschooled. The mom is like something out of a Stephen King novel.

Public schools are a stem-to-stern trainwreck, but Homeschooling has clear oversight issues that can and should be addressed.

the teachers union fights and strikes over bathroom breaks, vacation days, curriculum days, pay ,pension, sick time etc etc......

you think they might be able to rally around protecting students?.....

simply, they're about money and more time off...

The parents who (like you) home school with sincere dedication and motives should not be confused with child abusers who use the cover of homeschooling to keep their crimes hidden.

Thanks for saying that, but your post paints home schooling as a refuge for pedophiles and child abusers. A bit of balance in that post would have been helpful.

The video is disturbing, as is the non-action of the teacher.

In the teacher's defense (damn, those words sound strange coming out of my lips) he would have been keel-hauled for interfering with a melanin-privileged student.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but the teacher should have done the right thing, and at least attempted to prevent any further assault to a helpless student. That is someone’s daughter.

ya i hear that but the students are all jailhouse lawyers by the timee they get to high school and they are not shy about letting all the teachers know about it. thereafter it becomes a game for the students to do more and more outrageous acts in plain view of the teacher, in essence daring the teacher to break formal protocol written by school administration from the safety of their waffle bottom chairs, and touch an allegedly offending student.

if the teacher touches a student, there are no friendly witnesses that the teacher may count upon to testify in court on his or her behalf. the students as a group accept, promote and reinforce each others individual anti-civilized gangsta ghetto behavior. anyone who violates the gangsta culture is ostracized from other students and shunned. if any student testifies against another student, they place themselves at significant physical risk as well as social risk.

the teacher is alone. the administration has left teachers out to fend for themselves in their classrooms and any problem that gets reported to administration is one problem too many and an indication that the teacher is lacking in “classroom discipline” skills. It is far easier for the “no child left behind” administration to lay off a teacher than it is to handle a “no child left behind” student.

so the teacher waits until the antics are finished and then resumes teaching. or quits.

Public schools are becoming more and more like the prison system where certain people need to be in protective custody. They should start referring to students in class as gen pop.

If it were my career, who knows?

I would be inclined to grab the punk by the collar to see how far she could be thrown.

My brother is a teacher and he was told not to interfere physically between two students. He is suppose to tell them to stop, separate, go to the Principal’s office and let security officer handle it. Unless his life is in danger, he is not to physically touch the students.
And the students know this so they ignore all of his other “suggestions”

Of course by the time the officer gets there, the fight is over and somebody is bleeding and nobody saw anything.

And this is in Tennessee.

It ain't just the teachers, these kids are raised to be feral by their feral parents. If the teacher went ‘old school” and pulled the two students apart, the parent(singular) would be suing the teacher, the school system and everyone else except her ‘lil darling’ who “dinda du nutinn”.

This is how America will fall, from within.

The actions or rather in-actions of the “soi boi” teacher is exactly how the system wanted him to act. Protect the system first(no cameras” and deny, deny, deny) It's how the fifth grader in North Carolina got killed by another feral child raised by a feral parent and supported by the a system that cares only for it's own power.

Oh, in that case, sure. I was referring to deterioration of curriculum.

Fortunately, this provides me the opportunity to teach privately Math/Chemistry/Physics to motivated students and parents who care.

We must destroy the current public education system before we can address the public breeding system.

The only person I know who “walked away” was an untenured guy that wasn’t going to get it; districts would pull shenanigans where you’d work for some time, but wouldn’t be renewed when it would have given you tenure (I guess someone in a high position had earmarked that permanent slot for someone else, and the district couldn’t afford two “employment for life” slots at that time).

The most obvious indication of a problem here in NJ is that public school teachers are often paid roughly twice the salary of private school teachers - definitely a problem. The teachers’ unions’ strategy is brilliant; it forages upon the enemy (the taxpayers), and funds are automatically channeled from the enemy to the Democratic Party - who tax them even more. It puts agents in every locality with a school, and buys national influence/power. They have destroyed NJ, and it is unraveling now because it is clear to American taxpayers (primarily homeowners here; while tenants pay property taxes indirectly, homeowners get crushed in comparison) that a growing number of the students themselves aren’t American. This drives the mass exodus from NJ, and we’ll continue losing seats in Congress as a result.

The debate about whether or not to include citizenship on the census questionnaire is critical; like the 3/5 Compromise regarding slaves, NJ and similar states want their illegals counted for representation. They import them here deliberately, and want Fed dollars to accompany them.

It is very quickly looking like the ONLY workable solution for white parents is private schools strictly segregated to their own kids.

If the teachers cannot defend our kids against the animals (or those who act like animals, which oddly enough turn out to be minorities in the vast vast majority of cases) then why are we paying taxes to pay them?
