This lunatic was detained a couple of weeks ago.

This is what results from letting psychos run the streets.
Years back, this fool would have been locked in a padded cell. Then do-gooders decided that it was better for lunatics to roam the streets. This is what happens.
We need to bring back asylums.
This deranged pot head has a history of strange actions. So pot makes you mellow?
Sovereign Citizen. The worst scum of the earth
Always pack a pistol , and wear it in a belt or shoulder rig , when you go hiking . You never know . Bear ? Cougar ? Insane killer? You have a right to defend yourself . Regardless of what the laws may say about ‘packing’ .
I have a friend who's out there somewhere this year, hiking the whole Appalachian Trail is his goal for the summer.
RIP.
This is peak travel time for through hikers headed north in that section of the AT.
Why don’t we have a 7 day waiting period and background checks for machetes? Where is Sparticus Booker to say us?
[[[In that incident, James Jordan, 30, was charged with criminal impersonation and drug possession after police say he threatened other hikers on the trail in North Carolina and Tennessee.
Jordan, also known by his trail name ‘Sovereign,’ was released from jail, put on probation and ordered to pay fines. ]]]
Guy gets around. I’d never hike on a trail like this without a heater. Hell, the local bike trail is starting to get a bit scary with all the dirtbags hanging out.
Building mental hospitals and putting people like this into them would make it easier for Democrats to campaign, since their desired demographic would be more concentrated. And the guy is from Massachusetts, which would partially explain the insanity.
My son and I ran across a guy on the AT carrying a machete. He was very strange and talked to himself at the shelters. This was maybe 8 years ago. I wonder now if this was the same guy.
The AT attracts a lot of homeless. Theres a whole subculture of them every year on the trail.
Don’t tell me, white supremist?
One .44 magnum + one insane would-be murderer = one well-earned defense.
Weapons carry, because when you really, really need them, the police are minutes (or hours) away.
Gun-Free Zone?
Drugs are ruining this country, as in hard drugs and recreational gateway drugs.
So is the practice of prescribing psychiatric drugs to seriously mentally ill persons and turning them back out into the community, expecting them to take their meds on schedule. Psych drugs have notoriously bad rates of “compliance” with doctor’s orders, because as soon as the mentally ill persons feel better, they are tempted to stop taking the drugs that are making them feel better and function more (approximately) normal.
Investigation Discovery has featured a story about murders on the Appalacian Trail (and also hints of possible hauntings). IIRC, it was the same man who committed two murders of campers / hikers in the same place with several years between. Creepy, I think.
If you go on the AT without a gun you have a death wish. Meth heads are everywhere on the AT here in N GA.
Any word on Mark Sanford?
