Gov. Dimslee (dem) wants to tear out all of our dams and replace them with windmills. The Democrats have now got solid majorities in both houses and the State Supreme Court is made up completely of liberal idiots. This article starts with a picture of a bunch of windmills in front of Mt. Rainier, which is a more and more common sight these days. It is funny that US News & World Reports is rating this place as the best state. My wife and I were both born here and have lived our entire lives here... we think it is going to hell and are trying to figure out where to move to.

I wonder how much electricity those windmills actually provide. And how many birds must die to produce that electricity.

The question is “ what is the meaning of “is” is.
I always heard it’s CA, except for their idiotic government.

East of the Cascade crest, MAYBE
But the better option is the Idaho Panhandle and escape ALL of the insanity that trickles out of Olympia

Washington is a rainy state. Lot of clouds and rain.
I do like a rainy day. Get to stay inside and read a good book.

The "arid rolling hills east of the Cascades" are known as "the Palouse" which is some of the most beautiful country in the US. It is a huge agricultural region producing lots of wheat and legumes.
Nothing like windmills to destroy the beautiful vistas of America. Enjoy your beautiful American scenery before it's gone.
The hills are too steep for conventional combines, so a "leveling combine" was invented to improve production on these hills.

If you like rain, Oregon is good.

Weird, they must have forgotten the friendly 2nd amendment situation there.

Cheap, climate-friendly electricity drives Washington's economy, the nation's fastest growing LOL! I'm sure Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia, Zillow, Starbucks and Boeing have nothing to do with that growth.

If only it “trickled” out of Olympia. It’s a torrent, a veritable gusher, a flash flood.

Unfortunately, Avista serves a good chunk of the Panhandle and they announced their commitment to 100% renewable energy a few weeks ago. Hold onto your wallet!

Rain. Coffee. Good books. Pearl Jam. Women in raincoats. Twin Peaks.
That is what the Pacific Northwest brings in mind.

Is Seattle cloudy a lot?
It’s the only place I’ve ever lived
where the weather forecast includes
“sun breaks.”
