LONDON (Reuters) - Fighting back tears, Theresa May said on Friday she would quit, setting up a contest that will install a new British prime minister who could pursue a cleaner break with the European Union.May’s departure deepens the Brexit crisis as a new leader, who should be in place by the end of July, is likely to want a more decisive split, raising the chances of a confrontation with the EU and potentially a snap parliamentary election. Her voice cracking with emotion, May, who endured crises and humiliation in her failed effort to find a compromise Brexit deal that parliament could ratify, said she would resign on Friday, June 7 with a leadership contest beginning the following week.

Put in a very difficult situation, she handled it as badly as was humanly possible. She sank to the occasion.

Yep, and it’s just the kind of said event that will be repeated here in the USA if the Deep State cabal of traitors are not identified, indicted, tried and convicted, and imprisoned or executed before it’s too late.

Exports to the EU are worth 12% of the entire UK economy. Worst case scenario, tariffs on WTO terms will make a dent, but not stop it all together. Even if that full 12% stopped, it would be worth it. Other countries have sacrificed far more to be free than a mere 10% drop in income.

You’re ignoring that the UK is the locus for the entire continent’s financial services industry, an industry that creates a massive amount of wealth, taxes and jobs for the nation, and an industry that is leaving London because of Brexit. Goods exports are not really the story. Services exports are where the money is.

Except it isn’t. Since 2016 the city has expanded “despite brexit”. Regardless, if you want to understand Brexit, visit the provinces, were manufacturing industry has been pissed away by London and it’s London obsessed focus. A dip in the pound and opening free trade to the rest of the world is a great first step to rebuilding manufacturing.

This is the country that lolly-gagged around until the colonists revolted and broke free!

I hope they make it but wont hold my breath on Britain regaining its sovereignty from the EU. Muslem mayor of Londonistan, guns and indigenous folk independently thinking are outlawed already......She may have been freedoms last hope there.

I really hope its not as bad as I think.

The Uk will be fine. The UK took a beating from the German Luftwaffe in WWII and they still stand.
