People swim with sharks all the time or resorts wouldn’t allow anyone to swim, ever.
You’re one of those airheads who freaks out when you see a snake too, I bet.
So you’ve been there and you know that sharks attack people regularly?

You just like to bemoan how horrible other people are and how virtuous you are for caring about something that didn’t even happen.

In a former career there was this middle manager some of us called Mr. Macho. In private, we had way more derogatory names for the jerk.
Mr. Macho had some phobias. They were about snakes and lizards.
A co-worker of his when Mr. Macho was a guy on the floor knew about the phobias.
In the decrepit old building they were doing cable work in, the good guy saw one of those tiny lizards resting on some cables.
He asked Mr. Macho to double check some work. Mr. Macho got eye level with the lizard. Macho jumped back, left a shoe behind and hid in a closet for a few hours.
I’m not wild about snakes but have handled a few with handlers present. Otherwise I keep my distance if I see them.
Mostly what few I ever see are black and garter snakes. They are pest control and are welcome.
