You're right - Nunes and Jordan are men of action - similar to Trump and we really them. They've been courageous and steady during this whole mess. Heroes... But Gowdy's a man of thought and we also need men like Gowdy. Our forces have to be balanced if we expect to defeat the evils that are forming against us.

Thank God there are Americans, like Brian Kolfage, et al. taking care of business while members of Congress diddle each other and attempt to destroy Our Donald for their own self interests. It is important for each of us to do our part to work towards sending these political hacks home in 2020 and thereafter until they’re out of office permanently. They’re self-serving, power-hungry, amoral, corrupt, hypocritical, hacks. In my opinion, they’re not worthy of being called Americans. They’re out to destroy our country, destroy our national security, destroy our Constitution, and take our freedom and the freedom of our children and grandchildren.

I've seen the claim you make. I think it completely understates the President's duty and authority.
Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the President to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” This clause, known as the Take Care Clause, requires the President to enforce all constitutionally valid Acts of Congress, regardless of his own Administration's view of their wisdom or policy.

Gowdy was naive with his trust of Mueller and his gang. He thought the FBI and DOJ was run by honorable people and didn’t want to believe on an emotional level that they weren’t. Glad he has come around to understand their true nature.
Gowdy’s naivety was likely because he has high very high level of personal integrity, which also attributed to other law enforcement officials. He was wrong and has admitted it. He should have listened to Louie Gohmert.
Gowdy is the same critter who goaded Trump to sit down with Mueller; “you have nothing to lose if you’re innocent.”
Gowdy could not be that stupid. Disingenuous.
But on the plus side, he has a helluva head of hair.
