Could it be that the biographers of U. S. Grant tried to cover up for his HYPOCRISY & DECEITS, just as the press in the 21st Century has covered up for Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary ROTTEN Clinton, Senator Robert “KKK” Byrd & HUNDREDS of other (OH, so SUPERIOR to regular citizens that they are routinely “excused of” committing DISGUSTING, IMMORAL & CRIMINAL ACTS) persons??
Which biographers discuss frankly GEN Grant’s years as a CRUEL slave-overseer, addiction to morphia (as a result of having his hip broken before TWBTS) & his alcoholism??
As a general rule, biographers PREFER “whitewashing” their subjects.

Frankly, the 100.oo per hour fee is to discourage MORONS, HATERS, BLOWHARDS & other similar creatures, who just want to waste my time proving WELL-DOCUMENTED facts. = I long ago lost count of the number of FREE hours of research that I’ve done for people who were seeking an ancestor, so that they could join the SUVCW, SCV, MOSB, AZTEC CLUB, DAR, SAR & other similar requests.
(Those requests are invariably SINCERE & IF a person “knows where to look”, usually are easily/quickly completed.)
In the case of DIFFICULT/TIME-CONSUMING research projects, I simply cannot afford to do FREE research for anyone.
(EXAMPLE: A wealthy physician from Houston, TX recently asked me to research & PROVE that he is a direct descendant of King Henry V of England. - Fwiw, I’ve so far found NO evidence of his direct descent but he wants me to “keep looking”.)
NOTE: I finally found our family’s sole commissioned officer of the American Revolution, a LT from SC, after MANY hours of frustrating research. = LT James H. B___________ of the Virginia Line (Infantry) died of disease (He succumbed to what was likely BLOOD POISONING from a “penetrating belly wound” & broken bones) less than 2 weeks after he was commissioned by VA.
(Given the brevity of his service & that he served in a different state than he was a citizen of, is it any wonder that there was LITTLE written about his military service??)

Not at all. Just biographers that deal with a historical Icon about which so many people are emotionally involved, especially if they come from a region of the country that very much wants to justify what this particular Icon did.
Of the biographers you mentioned in the past, they seem to all be from the Northern states.
I know the ones I bothered to look up were from Northern states. Why would they say or do anything that would be disapproved by their peers?

I didn't believe this sort of thing for most of my life, but the combination of me learning about things they never told me about the civil war, as well as learning who benefited from it and why, along with our ability to see this same sort of propaganda deceit play out in modern times, (oddly enough from the exact same portions of the nation that were doing it in 1860) I have come to believe that the history being taught is rotten and deliberately misleading, and that there is a coalition of corruption running our nation that is centered on the New York to Washington DC corridor.
The nasty vicious lying enemy that is even now trying to make the conflict to be about race, is the same nasty vicious lying enemy that ever since the 1860s has fed us the bullsh*t about who caused the civil war and why.
The New York and Washington DC controlled corrupt government started that war, and they have been ruling us ever since with lies and corruption.
Slavery was the made up excuse back then, and "Racism" is the made up excuse now.
The truth of it is that it was always about money and power, and the "higher causes" they claim are just for the purposes of fooling the rubes into keeping them in power.
As I’ve said elsewhere on the forum, the SOLE GOALS of the “Rich & Shameless” is to STAY in OFFICE, MAKE MORE MONEY & GET MORE POWER for themselves & their allies.
(Anyone who gets in the way of those creatures achieving those aims becomes a “target of” every sort of dishonest accusation, gossip & “bad press” from the “powerful” & the other creeps, crooks & “useful idiots” that believe the left’s knowing lies.)
