Pork remains a staple in Germany. Has been for centuries. Sausages and schnitzel. I guess the two Muslims in the day care could simply not eat the pork if they don’t want to, why impose the ban on all the others that enjoy pork?

Because that's not how Islam works. Islam expects everyone else to submit and live the way Muslims prefer.
