Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) said Saturday President Trump bore some responsibility for a shooting in El Paso, Texas that killed at least 20 people.
Asked by news reporters whether the president was in some part responsible for the shooting, O'Rourke, who formerly served as the city's mayor, responded firmly.
"Yes. We've had a rise in hate crimes every single one of the last three years," O'Rourke said Saturday evening. "During an administration where you've had the president call Mexicans rapists and criminals."
"He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country," the former congressman and current 2020 candidate for president continued. "It does not just offend our sensibilities; it fundamentally changes the character of this country and it leads to violence."
I read his manifesto and it is mainly a screed against corporations, with environmentalism exalted. Fake news will paint him as a Trump supporter but the manifesto does not make him appear so.
Beto is nothing but a sleazy opportunist who left the campaign trail in Las Vegas to fly back to El Paso for what? A photo op? He goes to the hospital to talk with family members and victims when he has no standing. Hes no longer a public official. Hes just a private citizen who is running for the Dem. nomination. He is using this tragedy to try and regain some sense of relevance . He is beyond contempt.
National Fox is repeating Beto’s 5 per year BS
Yes. Mainly seems concerned with the environment. Seems to believe that corporations want to import more consumers via immigration, which will hurt the environment. This guy sounds all over the place.
When Bernie Supporter James T. Hodgkinson shot up Republicans at a baseball practice did Beto blame the head of the DNC?
No?
I didn’t think so... and either did the press.
I find O’Rourke to be repulsive.
He lies and contradicts himself often in the same few sentences in front of a camera.
It’s rather obvious why he went to El Paso last evening. He is trying to rehabilitate his flagging campaign. Except that he is incompetent too.
When he started bleating about Trump spouting
‘hateful retoric’ last night, all I could think of was him signing onto Al Sharpton’s pledge for Reparations at NAN.
Craven.
O’Rourke: Trump is a ‘racist,
VETO BETO...JEER THE QUEER.
I can’t stand to watch or listen to him. He reminds me of a mega church preacher and I dislike what he says.
I saw “Beto” on Fox last night.
I’ve never seen him so excited, so animated. So happy.
He was giddy and beside himself with joy.
This was just to good to be true. A mass shooting .... in his HOME TOWN!
Oh joy!
What an opportunity to hog the spotlight and use the corpses to regain some traction for his floundering campaign.
His eyes lit in unmistakable rapture.
He was on the brink of orgasm throughout the interview. And when a reported asked him a question in Spanish, he almost lost it there and passed out.
Robert Francis O’Rourke...
What a despicable idiot. The only reason he ran to El Paso was to get a photo op and maybe bring his dead campaign back to life for a few days. One of the biggest liars in a crowded field of professional liars.
And of course he blames Trump, and from what I’ve read so far, without actually reading his “manifesto’ myself, he specifically said Trump did not influence his actions.
Robert the fraud can go crawl back under his favorite rock...
I support strict gun control...for Democrats, socialists, and the like (the takers). I also support widespread gun ownership and carry for Republicans and constitutional libertarians (the makers).
(Except the shooter is a Dem)
Oh, that makes no difference at all in terms of blame. Trump’s “hate” is making “good people” go CRAZY and start shooting people. Liberal delusion and TDS can rationalize anything.
Takes an irrational mind to think like a leftist tyrant the likes of what the Democrat party is offering.
Oh and also no regard for truth, our constitution or even their own constituencies.
I never felt unsafe in Roswell when I visited last month. Then again between self awareness, observation, and a ccw GLOCK I rarely feel unsafe. Ofc I tend to avoid places the are sketchy.
I carry also. I don’t feel unsafe.
It’s more like knowing areas to
avoid, especially after dark. A
few days ago a homless girl was
shot and killed.
