If “grease” is understood to mean “oil,” then a “pot” of it is easily imagined. On the other hand, if “pot” means “skillet,” you might easily have enough bacon grease to fling.
french fries, fried chicken, donuts
Pan-fried chicken?
The article is unbalanced. It concentrates on the oil on the face of an obvious government-certified victim, who is black, and not on the burglary.
“broke into her home last Thursday and pulled a gun on her” That is sufficient grounds for doing whatever it takes to stop the aggressor, who is black, including use of deadly force. She did the right thing, and could have done more. The specially-privileged intruder, who is black, lost his right to life when he broke in and aimed a gun at the woman. She had the right to do whatever was necessary to stop him. He had no rights, including the right to live.
It was not necessary to show us the picture of the face. Undoubtedly it was to stir up the bleeding heard ACLU types and al sharpton phonies, so they would riot in the streets and make the woman’s life hell.
More stupid reporter tricks.
That would be a skillet, not a pot.
“Poor burglar” is what this idiot is writing. Next they’ll write that he’s a vegetarian and the grease was meat based.
Too bad she didn’t have an iron skillet to beat the miscreant with...
When he gets out of jail in a few months and starts robbing people again, he shouldn’t be too hard to identify.
From his face, I’d say the grease wasn’t hot enough. Good aim, though. Love to see what she could do with a proper weapon.
Chittlins?
Probably local usage, saying “grease” where I would say “oil.” My Sicilian mother-in-law says “gravy” when I would say “tomato sauce.”
Absolutely. He will be walking around looking like a crispy zebra for the rest of his days.
Okra.
I would have supported her actions just the same if he were white; unlawful entry coupled with threatened murder is worth deadly force here in CO (by the “make my day” law) and the perp’s race is not a factor here.
A pot of hot grease! Thanks, big city journalists! We don’t need firearms for defense any more. A pot of hot grease beats a firearm!
:-/
I imagine that preferences and local come in to effect. I prefer better boil over protection especially for raw meats and anything heavily frosted so I use a pot. Also locally anything proportionately wide and shallow is a pan with the reverse being a pot. I doubt that theres a “skillet” within hundred miles of here. Somewhere along the line I aquired a “spider” also which I quickly chucked for being far too shallow for anything I make.
I cook Krinkly French Fries in a pan that has about a half inch of Crisco in it.
I wish I could put the picture of that kid from the Simpsons that says ha ha.
Deep frying?
Probably just a frying pan full of drippings.
My question is, is the woman going to be sued for excessive force?
