Friends of Megan say she identified as male and went by the name Jordan Cofer

The times are indeed insane when we are expected to accommodate delusions.

Pretty obvious that his parents were part of the problem.

How sad.

The killing of his sister and eight others in a shooting on 4 August was not acknowledged.

That was the gun's fault.

The family might all be complete loons, but the description sounds like a parent’s memory of what their child was like 6 to 10 years prior to going off the deep end. Being in denial helps people cope, but it also evades responsibility for failing to stop a rotten teen from turning into a mass murderer.

“He “will be missed immensely by his friends, family, and especially his good dog Teddy””

He killed a famil5 member and will be missed immensely by the family?

Poor Teddy

Why even publish an obituary?

Perhaps I’m an outlier, but personally I think the parents can write anything they want and others should leave them alone. Whatever mistakes they made, an obituary isn’t the place to publicly apologize for them. Others should mind their own business and let them grieve.

They actually published an obituary.

I checked legacy.com and, yep, it used to be there.

I wonder if it said, “he was preceded in death by his sister Megan”?

It just goes to show, sometimes people see only what they want to see.

We never want to believe the worst about our loved ones.

Death is private. Murder is Public. This person was a mass murderer. If the parents want to lie about him by omission in their stupid obit. fine We the public can make up an alternate obit with a bit more honesty. His wiki entry will not be emphasizing that he was a bleeping boy scout.

These people need to be sterilized and kept away from children. Raises one as a tranny and the other as a pscycopathic murderer and worshiping satanist, but what a nice smile and could make you laugh....when he wasn’t shooting at you!

Most funeral home obits say nothing about the deceased’s negative moments. That’s considered bad form. You woudn’t see:

“Joseph Bates Arsehole, 25, died on August 15. He was a foul, racist man of hate who abused puppies and raped women. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to...”

A media obituary, on the other hand, would report what was newsworthy about the person whether good or bad.

There’s no “E” at the end of “Bellbrook”.

Dayton Shooting: Oregon District gunman left decade of red flags

Plenty of red flags. And nobody did anything. And, yes, Ohio does have involuntary judicial hospitalization, IOW, a version of Florida'state Baker Act.
