A Little Caesars restaurant in Fargo, North Dakota is capturing hearts and feeding the hungry with a new policy they posted with a sign in their window.
A new idea came to General Manager, Michelle Lussier, after she noticed an ongoing problem: people were eating leftovers from the store dumpster. Lussier decided to approach the situation with a surprising solution, offering free slices of pizza inside the store.
She recognized that the homeless are human beings the same as everybody else, and deserve dignity, respect, and compassion.
The sign hung on the drive-through window reads:
To the person going through our trash for their next meal, youre a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.
In a video about the new policy, Lussier offers hope. Instead of merely thoughts and prayers, she offers something real: delicious pizza.
Dont feel embarrassed if youre hungry and you dont want to do what others do, you know stand on the corner for handouts, says Lussier.
You feel down about that, youre more than welcome to come here and grab a couple slices.
According to Valley News Live, the restaurant also donates leftover pizza to the local food pantry and has a donation box inside the store that benefits the homeless in the area.
This restaurant is extending goodwill to the homeless. In return, they endear themselves to the community with some good public relations, earning well-deserved customer loyalty.

What a wonderful gesture! If more people thought and behaved like the management of this restaurant I have no doubt we would shape a better world. Please share this story if you agree you might inspire someone out there!

Well, if I had my druthers, I’d chow down on Fox’s or Ledo’s, but they don’t exist as a species here in Alabama.
I’m Brian.
When I worked in a grocery store we donated garbage bags full of food to a food bank. The volunteers picking it up were almost always immensely obese. It really made me wonder about where the food was really going.
.... And some smell better than others. (That works when reference is to noses as well.)
Most excellent response for the more peaceful homeless people! Might want to serve the twirling tweakers outside, though.
Yes I can envision many non-homeless homeless taking advatage of her generosity.
And are they going to be so stingy as to limit the offering to a couple of slices. Some of these bums haven’t eaten for several hours and they’re hungry! And they’ll need a drink or two to wash it down. And where are the restrooms?
Oh, what time do you close? I don’t want to be late for dinner. You guys are so wonderful, i’m going to tell all my friends.
She thinks there is a problem now. "Build it and they will come."
Little Caesars is awful pizza. One time I ate the cardboard box the pizza came in by mistake. I wondered why it tasted better than usual.
“We’re sick of this pizza. We demand steak dinners!”
“Authentic Michigan” Pizza doesn’t do well in Carolina either.
For all the good things moving to Texas from Maryland did for me, losing Ledo Pizza was awful.

Went to Hardees once to pick up breakfast. I was a minute too late..they were switching to the lunch menu. But the manager was fixing to throw out the stuff that they had already cooked for breakfast. I walked out with several bags of the breakfast they were fixing to throw away. Folks at work were elated...
Exactly. As if Americans are so Heartless that it never occurred to a restaurant owner to give away free food to homeless poor before. This will not end well because in a country with almost zero percent unemployment people are homeless because they have mental issues. They will scare away customers and/or spread the word to their fellow homeless overrunning the restaurant. It wont end well.
It’s that flaky crust. And the sauce, man, the sauce. I moved away 20 years ago, and even back then, the sauce was so good, they sold it in jars at the counter by popular request. The Ledo’s in Rockville was my go-to.
My son worked with the homeless mentally ill Manager at Mc Donald’s saved sandwiches for him to distribute. Did I mention that over 90% of them were veterans?
They deserve more than your left overs.
I hope it works out for them.
We have 3 of them here. One is okay, one is really good and I don’t know about the other one.
I like their stuffed crust pizza the best; and so does my dog.
I haven’t been gone two years yet and it’s rough. If there was decent pizza here it wouldn’t be too bad.
Let us know how this works out for you.
They sure have made a mess of downtown Sarasota, but, for some reason, I dont see them around Armand Circle. My daughter does a ballet performance at the Sarasota Opera House every year, and it gets worse every year!
Either she or the writer embedded an anti-Christian agenda in the article.

Exactly. Why does it have to be either or? Can't she offer free pizza AND thoughts and prayers? Is it that difficult to do.
On the surface, seems like an anti-Christian.
