HOUSTON (KTRK/CNN) - Houston police are searching for a group of people who demanded Popeyes chicken sandwiches at gunpoint Monday night.
Authorities say two women and three men stormed the front door of the restaurant with at least one weapon.
They had just been told at the drive-through window that the store was sold out of the popular sandwiches.
An employee was able to lock the doors before the five could get inside.
The group left a baby inside their vehicle as they tried to enter the restaurant.
There were no injuries reported.
Police are trying to develop descriptions of the suspects.
Police said the man with the gun is being described as having
small dreadlocks, tattoos on his face and was seen wearing a
black shirt with red sleeves. The group left in a blue SUV.

Tats on his face, black shirt/red sleeves, blue SUV.
I find this story hard to believe.
For many years I remembered eating at Popeye’s and it being delicious especially their biscuits.
A few days ago Popeye’s was being debated on FR. Then it suddenly hit me. It wasn’t Popeye’s, it was Bojangles.
That sounds like more than four hours.
To: EveningStarWe generally dont consider it duplicate if more than 4 hours have gone by. Especially if there is activity on the thread.

Now there’s a sure sign you’re in a bad neighborhood.
Is any description necessary?
Whoa!
It’s GREAT to have some published Standards...
“Tats on his face, black shirt/red sleeves, blue SUV.”
...and a bone in his nose, ho ho.
Or you’re in Maryland.
I doubt it.
Jim Dandy's is in the heart of South Central LA, playground of the Crips, Bloods, MS-13, and so on.
Our standards may be low but we do have them. :)
Popeyes was spicy back in the 80’s. Actually, kfc had the best spicy chicken back the.
If anyone is interested this is from last week.

“He could have shot someone behind a chicken sandwich,” said Fredrick Taylor. “Somebody could have lost their life because they ran out of chicken sandwiches.”

Popeye’s is better than the Colonel’s fried chicken.
When we were kids Mother made the best biscuits. Probably not the only reason they were so good was she would put a spoonful of bacon grease on before baking them in her wood stove.
She later developed an allergy to flour, and no more biscuits.

A friend of mine was a mortgage loan officer.
He said his company routinely refused to finance home loans within a 1 mile radius of a chicken franchise.
Or if they did, the interest rate would be substantially higher.
With all that’s gone on about these sandwiches, it makes you wonder if it’s all set up to get people more interested in them....
