Entered George Anthon with a telegram from Richmond to his revered papa. “Unconditional restoration” (of Bishop Onderdonk) “voted down in the House of Bishops by twenty-six against eight.” Very right and wise, I think. But won’t they agree on some compromise between restoration pure and simple and restoration with jurisdiction? This looks unlike it, to be sure. . . .
