With William McRaven’s call to oust President Trump—maybe through impeachment, maybe through a coup—the military officer class joins the establishment in claiming a right to rule, regardless of the outcome of elections.
The American people’s proper and just reaction should be to remind the ruling class that as Alexander Hamilton said, “here, the people rule,” and hence pointedly to ask our would-be rulers what they have done that we should follow them?
McRaven really does speak for a substantial percentage of senior military officers. Their views are on display nightly on Fox News. It is time for the American people to realize that these, like their counterparts in the intelligence agencies, are no heroes.
If we ask what they have done for us that we should have confidence in them, we realize that these people have lost every war they have waged since 1945. Accommodating themselves to our corrupt ruling class, they have been happy enough to wage endless no-win wars which have killed as many Americans as did World War I. The current military dictionary has no entry for “victory.”
Most recently, thousands of Americans have been killed and maimed in Iraq and Afghanistan because senior officers did not object to the ruling class’s desire to use U.S. forces to settle foreign quarrels by operating in constantly replenished minefields. Living in minefields violates basic military common sense and ethics. But senior officers have prospered. Intertwined with the ruling class, they end their careers on defense contractors’ corporate boards and in villas on the golf course. Now, as part of the ruling class, they join in claiming a right to rule us deplorables regardless of elections. We can thank McRaven for making that clear.
This ex-draftee is inclined to salute them with the middle finger.

These retired officers are complete losers. The problem is that when they make it to Lt. Colonel (Commander in the Navy), nobody tells them when their ideas are stupid and they’re talking stupid. There’s no leadership, it’s all, “Yes, sir!! Right away, sir!! What a wonderful idea, sir!! You’re wonderful, sir!!” These guys need to work a few blue-collar jobs to get their heads right again.

The Democrat/Deep-State criminal complex only believes in democracy when elections go their way, which means they don’t believe in democracy at all.
Military officers in the United States have no such right. I, seriously, liked McRaven. I still might if he ever logically completes this thought. Why does he think he has such a right today?
I don't know if he is retired. If not, he should be arrested and court-martialled for insubordination. His rank should be stripped, and he should be dishonorably discharged an E-1.
I read somewhere that he became aligned somehow with the water moccasin (Hillary). It's interesting to me that an otherwise functioning adult could so align and call that honorable.

About 20 years ago I worked for a financial company owned by a military nonprofit. The the directors of my company were retired admirals and generals. The not for profit board was made up of active duty flag officer. My observation is that a handful of that group were among the best people you could hope to meet. The rest were back stabbing political scum. About 20% were liberals from the Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama crowd. Almost all seemed to believe that their feces smelled like lavender.
President Trump needs to call his worthless commie ass back to service and then put him on KP duty on a sewage barge.

Their “blueing” goes full tilt when officers reach the 0-6 level and attend the Army War College or Navy/Air Force equivalent. These senior service school are owned and operated by a consortium of leftists and neocon globalists, mostly from the CFR.

Having spent a career in the military as an officer, I can tell you that IMHO, it is even worse than you have imagined in your post. The deep state is real and it is in every portion of government, including the military.
