I know one counter to my Vanity Question is: but the impeachment hoax started well before the Peace and Prosperity became evident.

My suggested answer to that objection is this:

Maybe the serial impeachment hoax started out as kind of a stupid move but -- as Peace and Prosperity kicked in -- became the most effective weapon in their arsenal, and though it might have started out as a stupid move, its later development became a Good Move, maybe even a Great Move.

Also, I submit that it is very possible that at least some democrats had very early inklings that Trump was going to be very successful, that they believed and hated Trump's campaign promises, and that they crafted this evil plan with the partial advance understanding that this was THE ONLY WAY TO BEAT TRUMP.

Along these lines, and apropos to any and every strategy ever found when you are actually standing on a field of
battle, the 'Rat's just want to get to the floor of the U.S. Senate. Why? Because that's where the matter will be
decided and they know the decision/outcome isn't always rational...

They also know that, in this case where there are a majority of decision makers who are self-centered, narcissistic,
prima donna's (and likely sociopaths) and among them there is a Romney... And perhaps more than one...
And maybe a few.

No laws, rationality or Constitution required...

The Democrats have already, internally, conceded 2020 to the GOP. They are resigned to losing the House as well. That is why 1) the best Democrat candidates are not running, and 2) Trump had to be impeached before the election.

Right now, the Dems are fighting for control of their party and their base -- just as the GOP did after 2016. Trump won the GOP. It remains to be seen who will win control of the Dem party.

There is also the matter of the Swamp. Establishment politicians on both sides of the aisle are AFRAID of losing their good thing. From the Obamas to the Clintons to the Bidens to the Kerrys to the Pelosis, a lot of political families are on the gravy train. I'm sure prominent republicans are as well. I believe this impeachment exercise was a game of chicken. The president did not blink. Looking forward to what comes next.

I predict an avalanche of negative “Blaisie Ford” type accusations after the House votes to impeach Trump.

They will come over the holidays with while the Senate is on recess.

The goal will be to transform the political landscape before the Senate meets again in January.

McConnell should extend the current session and do the acquittal fast.

Your reaction is natural.
They have taught us that they have zero integrity, no moral boundaries, and an agenda to destroy this Republic.
That said, it is unreal that they have the audacity to impeach based upon hearsay, lies and to squash due process.
But, they have the media on their side.

Democrat Judges have criminalized honest elections.

That is the USA’s greatest threat.

If the military hangings ever start, they should move them to the front of the row.

Personally I am of the opinion that they are winding up their kook base so that if Trump does win the election in 2020, they will cut loose the useful idiots to riot in the streets.
Then they can demand that Trump step down for the "good of the country".
These riots would occur in states and cities controlled by democrats preventing rational law enforcement from effectively dealing with them.
They will burn down the house if they don't get their way.

The thesis here isn’t clear. So the Democrats are pursuing endless and mindless impeachment because they are smart? I think it is more direct and only time will tell (and elections) if it will work. Their plan is to destroy as much as possible the worldwide public impression that comes with his success as a leader. They also will work hard at replacing enough senate candidates so that he loses the next trial in the Senate. It’s all they have and the media and many world powers that be will help all they can.

Always good to anticipate anything with them.

My take

They were obligated to impeach as many ran on that

They will say

We impeached him, senate didn’t, we need to maintain house and gain senate to right this wrong.

Process starts over again. We have already heard that he could be impeached multiple times so to me that could be their cake and eat it too strategy.

They do not believe in the normal the winner should be graciously recognized .

I think Donald Trump is very serious about getting rid of the corruption in our government. Very. It is one of his primary goals. It was stated as such in multiple rallies and in his inaugural address. The Democrats keep saying that he is an existential threat to our democracy...they are being VERY truthful. Trump IS an existential threat to THEIR warped view of government.

Or the Democrat Leadership are really hyper narcissists who lives in an isolated bubble world surrounded by yes men and have convinced themselves their alternate reality is the real world and everyone agrees with them about hating Trump

The strategy may yet work to remove a man who opposes the deep-state and the globalist oligarchy trying to take over America so the opposition to their one=world rule can succeed. The enemy inside the wire is the media who promote the demon rat lies as commanded. Demon rat voters have swallowed ALL the lies the Schiffforbrains Seditionists have spewed, so just showing them the True Facts is useless because demon rat voters are immune to facts. I have an otherwise smart cousin who is convinced by CNN, MSNBC< and the rest of the alphabet liars that Trump was running a pay-for-play bunko game having taken millions from foreign governments to be where he is. No amount of reason and evidence convinces such a dead head drone! They have been programmed by the true enemy of we the people, the servile, evil, degenerate media.

Bottom line: the Democrats view the operation as having some possibility of success, or they wouldn’t bother.

While there may be total idiots among their low-level followers, we should assume that the leadership is shrewd and has some sort of plan. Just because we don’t see what the plan is, does not mean that there isn’t a plan.

When they started the Nixon impeachment, the public was not on board. Demoncrats brought witness after witness, and with the help of the press and worsening economy, Republicans caved and asked him to resign.

My guess Demoncrats are planning a “Nixon” strategy in the Senate. If 4 RINOs cave, they win

one of my only D friends (who is reasonably politically astute and TRIES to hold his bias in check to talk”honestly”), has told me flat out that the entire point of the impeachment is to chip away at moderate Rs’ and Independents’ love for the Pres.

They think they simply need somewhere between the difference in 2016 and another weak R turn-out like in 2018 to defeat T in 2020.

If you’re worried about #2 I would not worry so much about this comic opera impeachment. It has failed amongst all but the most radical partisan Dems.

I would worry about the ol’ 38 caliber electoral vote. My fear is THAT will be the Deep State’s next move.

Trump has learned a lot about the Swamp over the past three years. The most important thing is you cannot drain the Swamp by force. It’s too embedded in both parties. So, just as self-deportation is the best was to deal with illegals, the best way to drain the Swamp is to stand aside and watch the Swamp seep away.

It’s the only way and it won’t be close to being drained until Pense’s second term.

“2. Get rid of Trump outside of the electoral process.”

And we all know what that includes, and they aren’t above pulling that off. Then they “deal with” Pence. Then ... ta-da! ... President Pelosi.

They’re so corrupt it is either do what they’re doing (somehow get rid of PDJT) or go to jail.

They’re corrupt over their necks. The day after it was mentioned that Pelosi’s son might also be involved in Ukraine corruption she went ahead with impeachment.

They have no choice. This is war.
