My suggested answer to that objection is this:
Maybe the serial impeachment hoax started out as kind of a stupid move but -- as Peace and Prosperity kicked in -- became the most effective weapon in their arsenal, and though it might have started out as a stupid move, its later development became a Good Move, maybe even a Great Move.
Also, I submit that it is very possible that at least some democrats had very early inklings that Trump was going to be very successful, that they believed and hated Trump's campaign promises, and that they crafted this evil plan with the partial advance understanding that this was THE ONLY WAY TO BEAT TRUMP.
Nope, it’s very simple.
Up until the 2020 Election, every so called Journalist and Democrat Politician will refer to POTUS Trump as the Impeached President Trump.
If he Nominates a Justice to the SCOTUS, the question will be, how can IMPEACHED President Trump do that? He was Impeached!
Every Campaign Ad for their Presidential Nominee will howl at the Moon, Elect me, not that Impeached Crook Trump!

It's why democrat talking points to MSNBC bimbos. pretentious men, commie/lites, and fake intellectuals is the same: that Trump will refuse to leave office.
In short, democrats are setting the stage for massive voter fraud.
For one thing: What makes you think that this impeachment attempt will ever be over?
You pointed out “massive voter fraud” and the feeling around here that it is a ‘given’ and also that it ‘won’t be enough’ to unseat Trump. OK. What if it’s a close election and we get Florida 2000 in 3 or 4 states? The Dems will scream that Trump suppressed the vote and they will re-impeach in the new Congress. This is the way an ant colony takes down an elephant — death by a billion cuts.
This is why the Republicans need to drag out the impeachment trial in the Senate so that the Democrats get dirtied up. Barr needs to start indicting the minor Democrat stay-behinds who falsified 302’s and edited FISA warrant applications. There needs to be a conga-line of these dweebs headed off to the federal pen. The country needs to see that.
Could the Dems be using this hopeless quest in the House in a bid to gain the Senate?
As in, “We got him, but we can’t throw him out because his friends hold the Senate. Give us control of the Senate and we can finish the job!”
Of course, we all realize that impeachment will become a common event from this day forward, right? Control both houses of Congress and you can throw out any President you’d like. God help us all.
