I imagine Joe is really hurting, since Kobe played basketball with him in high school back when they both went to an all-black high school back in Scranton, California.

Kobe was almost as good a player as Joe. Joe's family was poorer than any of the black families. Joe taught Kobe all of the moves he used in the NBA and Kobe often thanked Joe for how he changed his life.

Joe used to get together with all the black players and Joe drove them around in his dad's new Cadillac. Kobe's father rode a bicycle to the same coal mine Joe's dad worked at. Joe's dad gave him that bike. The Biden's, even they were poor, would always do the best they could for the Bryant family.
