While governor of Massachusetts, Romney wrestled his conscience over religious and moral issues like abortion and homosexual marriage and even though his Faith (assuming he believes in the bible) teaches otherwise, he found a way to personally justify both.
In fact, he admitted that he was in favor of abortion for most of his adult life. His conscience allowed him to become pro-life only after it also allowed him to switch most of his long-held principles from liberal to conservative so he could run for president as a republican.
I think Mitt's conscience works for the other side. Expediency trumps moral principle.
Good summary of this two faced so called Christian of good faith.

Romney was all about self-promotion. And his vote made no difference at all. It was all nothing but empty self-promotion.
Mormons try so hard at portraying themselves as good moral people. Upstanding taxpaying Americans who value our country and the Constitution.

If willards can see the process that was in the house, and the resulting garbage they presented to the senate and say guilty, he is either stupid or evil. I vote for the latter.
Hiding behind one’s faith to justify what you know is wrong is cowardly.
I donated to his opponent (a guy named Kennedy) in the primary but he was overwhelmed by willards name and money.
Romney’s god is expedience.
That’s the bottom line for him.
In some ways Mormons have more in common with Islam than they do with Christianity. Their “book,” for example, was just fabricated out of thin air by some guy.
I agree, but I’m scratching my head trying to figure out what he hoped to gain by his vote. Maybe he’s thinking about jumping into the Democrat primaries..??

Agreed. I can’t regret voting Republican in an effort to replace Obama, but today I do regret Romney.
He's one of the worst kinds, a self righteous man who lacks basic moral character himself.
