Hitler lost the war when he invaded the USSR. He did not have the resources to fight a 2 front war.

If he had not brought the US in and they then supplied the USSR with food and ammo then he would not have had such a time in the USSR. They had little food, little ammo and Stalin had shot his best generals.

The commies had treated everyone so badly that they were ready for a change in government. Of course Hitler began to treat them every bit as badly and so that advantage vanished.

He really was stupid.

This is a late comment on this thread, but I wanted to thank you for mentioning it. I had never heard of this series, despite the genre being right in my wheelhouse.

I’ve been consuming it and enjoying it, and there’s a ton of books to deal with. Glorious! The authors really do a good job of dealing with all the technological and political problems that would crop up if this event really happened. Very few cheap shortcuts in storytelling. It’s really good.
