I was a teenage boy when this cover of Elle published in 1986. It has been downhill ever since and is now clearly a woke joke.

My Japanese wife is 56 and has the body of a 36 year old. Then I suggest you two bury it in the backyard and don't say anything if the cops come calling.

Swim suit edition no longer a one-handed magazine for 13 year old boys.😎

If I want to see old, fat and bald I go to Walmart. You used to see truly attractive, breathtakingly beautiful women in those bygone swimsuit issues. And this coming from a straight old lady. The left destroys everything they touch.

The finalists include Philadelphia native Christie Valdiserri, a 25-year-old fitness instructor and dancer whose personal style includes are bald head. I looked her up. She didn't shave her head, she has alopecia areata "a common autoimmune skin disease, causing hair loss on the scalp, face and sometimes on other areas of the body".
Feminists will say "she is still beautiful". And she does have a great body.
From the man's perspective, what we call "beauty" is an evolutionarily-important set of indicators of a woman's health, physical fitness, and fertility, so we can pick the best candidate to be the mother of our children. Part of the indicators of female beauty (health and fertility) includes having a healthy set of hair. Having an auto-immune disorder which causes complete hair loss is a negative indicator.

That selection is a disservice to 56yo women everywhere.

I don't have anything against a woman that age....
Shucks, my oldest daughter is two years older than her!

Next up, all the swimsuit models will be transgender women. I can't wait for the Sports Illustrated Catlyn Jenner Swimsuit Edition...

There are all kinds of beautiful women. Just because they are beautiful doesn’t necessarily mean they are going to look good in a string bikini, and that’s okay. The challenge of dressing well —for women or men — is to find something that is realistic for one’s body and flattering. It can be done and it isn’t “one size (or style) fits all.”

Brielle Anyea, 24, is yet another interesting member of the finalists. As a plus-sized model with 113,000 Instagram followers, Anyea insists that she hopes to represent inclusion in the magazines swimsuit model competition.
I hope every chocolate chubby girl and every thick queen around the world sees this and know that anything is possible, Anyea continued.

...years ago, when Christie Brinkley, Paulina Married-The-Cars-Guy and Kathie Ireland were still young and hot...All terrific, but Stephanie Seymour was my personal favorite in those days. She ended up marrying some billionaire.
