GREENSBORO, N.C. Rhonda Foxx, a candidate running for North Carolina's 6th District race, said she went to jail for a crime she did not commit.
Now, Foxx is using that arrest as part of her campaign to win the Democratic primary on March 3.
In a social media post, Foxx claimed she was the victim in the case, but the police narrative tells a different story.
Foxx, who is one of five Democratic candidates in the race, posted her version of what happened.
She said a neighbor at a Washington, D.C., apartment building assaulted her in September 2018, but that she ended up getting fingerprinted, photographed and booked into a jail cell for 12 hours.
She wrote online, This isnt just my story its a story that nearly 13 million Americans face each year in our District Courts. It is the story of our woefully broken criminal justice system.
The police investigation told a much different story.
Investigators who looked into the incident ended up charging Foxx with assault and making threats to do bodily harm.
According to the police report, the incident started over dogs riding in an elevator at the apartment building.
Witnesses said unnamed neighbor, with two dogs on the elevator, reportedly asked Foxx to take the next elevator to avoid any possible confirmation between her dogs and Foxx's dog.
Foxx didn't enter the elevator, but according to two witnesses, she confronted her neighbor in the courtyard.
One witness told police Foxx accused her neighbor of being racist and didn't want her on the elevator because she's black, and heard Foxx say, "I'll kill you, b----," and "Ghetto b----."
The second witness told authorities she heard Foxx make the same comments, adding it looked like Foxx threw a punch or slap that may have

Typical LIB DIM prone to criminal behavior, dishonesty and violence...typical.
Yup, we all guessed correctly.
They all racist.
“Yup, we all guessed correctly.”
Profiling seems to be accurate.
That’s not how you play the race card, hpney, play it like Trump.
Party affiliation in 3rd sentence. Must be some kind of record.

I am a bit underwhelmed by the candidates for this race on both sides. The Republicans have not even filed finance reports meaning they have not raised at least $5,000. One is an accounts payable clerk.

The primary is Tuesday 3 March 2020 and the Republicans who hold this seat don’t seem to have a decent candidate.
in 2018 Incumbent Mark Walker (R) defeated Ryan Watts (D) in the general election 56% to 44%.
The 2017 Cook Partisan Voter Index for this district was R+9, meaning that in the previous two presidential elections, this district’s results were 9 percentage points more Republican than the national average. This made North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District the 156th-most Republican nationally.
The district encompasses the north central part of NC with pieces cut out to omit High Point and the Raleigh Durham (home of Duke and the University of North Carolina) area.
Lastly, the sitting Congresswoman in he 5th district is Republican Virginia Ann Foxx

She was arrested in Washington DC. She is running in a rural NC district as I noted just above. I don’t think the arrest is going to help in the general election.
“It is the story of our woefully broken criminal justice system.
She’s right about that...but probably not for the reasons she thinks.
I doesn't want your dog confirmin' my dog, that just ain't right....
....don’t tell me....don’t tell me...! let me guess....
she’s Irish....? maybe Swedish....or Amish.....?????
Demonrat Judges in NC have stolen 2 seats from the Republicans (beginning with the November elections). It’s an outrage this has been allowed to happen. They stole 5 Congressional seats in Pennsylvania in 2018 with a corrupt Demonrat State Supreme Court.
