Ugh, I agree but I sure dread the first page trolls....
I am awaiting news from East Africa. Once it gets deep into the Continent, all bets are off. I imagine Central Asia (India especially) would be a firebreak we need to keep in place.
And is there anyone alive in Indonesia?
here are the total wordl wide numbers
There are currently 77,975 confirmed cases worldwide, including 2,362 fatalities.
The simple fatality rate many erroneously use, deaths/cases, is now up to 3% (it was like 2.1%)
The increase is because of Hubie as they report steady deaths as the backlog in serious condition die...but a sharp decrease in new cases
example: 109 new deaths yesterday, only 400 or so new cases
THE POINT: 17.50. First infection from #Coronavirus in #Piemonte . 52 cases so far ascertained between #Lombardia , #Veneto is #Lazio . At 18.30 Extraordinary Council of Ministers to take stock of the emergency
What happened? People with symptoms stayed out of sight and didn't report that they were ill. My point? I'd wager that we're at the point now where people aren't reporting it when they get ill, to avoid quarantine.
