I have Tampermonkey installed and enabled, and I use Firefox Quantum.
There are some userscripts related to Twitter that I can verify DO work correctly, such as "Dowload Twitter Videos"
But the userscript I really want to get working is called "Twitter Filter"
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/34646-twitter-filter
Here is some background info.
-I used to have greasemonkey scripts working, but they stopped working (possibly about the same time that I installed Tampermonkey?)
-So I dis-abled greasemonkey, and only have the Tampermonkey engine enabled at the moment.
-There is no way in he11 I want to ever LOGIN to Twitter and use their twitter-supplied blacklisting feature, so please don't suggest that.
-Based on the little documentation I found, it seems the userscript "Twitter Filter" should do what I want.
-An example testcase I am using to debug filtering is this POTUS URL... https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1232434103229640704
-There are many Trump-haters and paid shi*-posters that often get displayed within the first few replies of POTUS tweets, such as (Jeff Tiedrich/@itsJeffTiedrich)
-I want to hopefully populate a "settings" page for the userscript with responders I want to ZOT, so that the userscript will not display those replies.
-I have tweaked many places within the "settings" tab, but not stumbled onto anything that has worked yet.
-HERE is what the first four lines of the userscript looks like... // ==UserScript== // @name Twitter Filter // @namespace zeusex81@gmail.com // @version 4.0 // @description Auto hide tweets according to your rules (shortcut key H toggles hiding) I would appreciate anyone's help that has had more luck with Tampermonkey
I am attaching what my setting tab looks like for this userscript.
Thanks! FUE
Do what, now?
If you don’t know what a Tampermonkey, or Greasemonkey userscript is, sorry to bother you.
FYI, what these are, is a post-processor for web pages. After a webpage finishes loading, a javascript routine which you can download/view, and/or tweak, and/or write your own, kicks in and modifies the webpage display to your liking. A fraction of a second later, the website is transformed to your liking.
There are hundreds of thousands of routines out there that can modify many commonly used websites in one way or another.
For example, here is a list of some that can modify Twitter output...

I spent an hour doing a candy bar lineup.
It took you an hour?
