The index page of FreeRepublic randomly stops loading in mid sentence in the middle of a thumbnail article of the body. . . And re-loading just finds another random stopping place. Not good fellows. I see you're having issues on pagination in the threads, but this is on the first page of the index.

Not being able to read and share thoughts during the three presidential debates was painful for me as a longtime FReeper. I really counted on being here with you all, and I did waste an hour for the first two debates attempting to connect. It was frustrating and sad. We were not getting clear responses from Jim either on what was going on. Perhaps no one knew. Just a suggestion for those looking for articles in FR, or for trying to see if an article has been previously posted. Go ahead and use the search tool provided by FR but if you can't find what you need, use google or yippy (I recommend yippy, since google is leftist scum) and type: free republic topic name in the search bar. (Where topic name is the subject or article title or part of article title you're looking for.) I get really good results doing that. (Just a tip.)

I'm working at a company where our email is handled by Google Apps the usual way. Where we open browsers to http://mail.OURDOMAIN.com and then we type in usernames (tied to our domain) and passwords. My non-technical supervisor came to me and asked me why he can no longer log into the account with the username of "sysadmin", which has important info we need. After confirming that the username and password did not fail as a result of a typing error, I then sent email from INSIDE our domain to the administrator account at sysadmin@OURDOMAIN.com. Social networking website Facebook has capped a year of phenomenal growth by overtaking Google’s popularity among US internet users, with industry data showing it has scored more visits on its home page than the search engine. In a sign that the web is becoming more sociable than searchable, research firm Hitwise said that the two sites accounted for 14 per cent of all US internet visits last week. Facebook’s home page recorded 7.07 per cent of traffic and Google’s 7.03 per cent. It is the first time that Facebook.com has enjoyed a weekly lead over Google.com. The lead may be...

It would be nice if, when we want to use some tags for emphasis (such as <em> to denote someone else's comment), or bolding, if we didn't have to then revert into full HTML and manually add paragraph breaks. It shouldn't have to be all or nothing. For instance, the blogging software Wordpress automatically converts line breaks to paragraph tags, while still allowing the addition of HTML for other things. Is there some reason that we couldn't have the same capability here? It would make commenting a lot less painful.
