Excellent!
Im a Caucasian woman who recently embraced my crazy curly hair after 65 years of trying to tame it, and I never know what its going to look like from day to day. Ill be returning to the workplace soon and Im a little concerned because I know ppl whose bosses actually told them to straighten their hair so they looked more professional. No matter a persons color, the state of their natural hair should not be a reason to discriminate against them, as long as its relatively neat and tidy.
When the haircut was done, I stepped outside and wanted to look at what time it was, to maybe meet my daughter after school.I met my daughter at outside school and we took the bus to the local mall.
A major chain toy store recently opened there so I took her in for the first time and told her you can have single thing you want.
This needs a little back story...
There is a girl in her class named E.
E it turns out is a royal bitch.
My daughter told me everyone hates her except for A.
I reminded my daughter that we are Christians and to turn the other cheek.
My daughter told me that E pushed a girl down the stairs.
So I held my hands forward and taught her how to throw punches.
Whch she does very well and was not surprising to me because she throws a ball better than any girl I ever seen. For real. A Tomboy in the making (age 10).
Alright so we go into the large toy shop and she is allowed any single thing she wants with no direction from me...
What does she pick? A doll? A toy pony?
No, she picks this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49596781208_551f974ef1_b.jpg
(I took a picture off the wall to hang the stuff for this photo. I been holding it for her but will hang it up someplace good tomorrow.)
I told her: That's great Honey.
It is good quality, 25 euros but i got 20 percent off.
Told my wife this definitely opens up gym options!
I would not hire anyone who looks stupid to represent my company.
Long hair which is not kept close to the head is an industrial hazard. Women (and men) who fail to follow factory rules face the real risk of being scalped by a lathe or spinning equipment of any kind. Also having long hair loosely flying about present a health hazard in food processing and prep, medical facilities, restaurants, etc. Where is OSHA and the FDA on this?
I’m gonna grow my hair down to my feet so strange
So I look like a walking mountain range
And I’m gonna ride into Omaha on a horse
Out to the country club and the golf course.
Carry the New York Times, shoot a few holes, blow their minds.
The rule is if they hair is long, you wear a hair net. I have seen hair bunched up inside a hair net, suddenly fly out when the person is jerking their head around. I used to work at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and saw those with long hair struggling to keep their hair from coming out of the hairnet. You don’t want to be dragged into the Cama 14 K-cup filler machine as it spews out 350 K-cups per minute.
Note my second post when I realized this applied to businesses.
It should not.
I wonder how many blacks know this vs how many just think it's a hairdo?
If other non blacks, such as me think it's just a good looking hairdo, the use of it to scare us has failed miserably.
Sort of like when the British tried to scorn us with the song "Yankee Doodle Dandy".
We took it over and liked it.
So they are sort of like a noose?
I think my safe space is being violated.
Good for you.
If your daughter ever learns to skate she’ll be set to compete with the better dames I’ve found up in Canada.

“”It can impact your education and your ability to get a job. That’s why we need laws to protect our right to wear our hair the way it grows out of our heads,” McKinney said. “
Because hair naturally grows into braids, dreadlocks and twists...and Mohawks and whatever styles the skinheads are using these days - I shave my head so I may be targeted by some minority or other...
My wife and child were out and came back with my new LG Q60 smartphone :)
i was unaware hair grew naturally in braids and dreadlocks. The black women i know spend an entire day with often 2 people working on it to have their hair braided. They must be missing something
