21+ pages retrieved of search for keyword coronavirus. On the 22nd page, about halfway down in the page, the corona virus posts starting in 2014 back through 2003 which are obviously about previous corona viruses other than the current one, continue into page 23 where the retrieved article list finally ends.

I counted 51 posts per page, so 21+ pages x 51 is 1,020+ since this first became news. (may or may not be accurate as I did a quick count) 8>)

So my guess is we are nowhere near having run the course of the obsessive posting regarding this topic. Just my guess, because after all it is so scary. I think the count, in the U.S. only) infected so far is less than 50, with 2 unfortunate deaths, of whose families I offer my sincere condolences.

The disease has an established case fatality rate of 2%, and is so contagious everyone will probably encounter it after a year or so. Potentially one in fifty Americans, or about six million, Americans alone, dying seems like a big thing to me, but maybe not to others, I guess.
