I've moved since my 2018 tax return. Will I get the $1200 stimulus check?

I left a forwarding address with the Post Office, but I am still concerned.

I know, that there will be comments about the stimulus checks. I will know today if I have been furloughed. Flame away.
As an aside, during this craziness, if anyone wants to get out, go to a hotel, they are empty, and offering good rates.
Just don't expect a restaurant, room service, or free breakfast for your rate.

I would call the IRS and give them an update to your address.

File form 8822. Available at irs.gov
Or file your 2019 tax return

If the IRS has your direct deposit with your bank, you’ll be fine. If not, you are left to the whims of your local postal workers union.

Do you get tax refunds direct deposit?? If you do then Yes this money will be direct deposit!,

Do you get tax refunds direct deposit?? If you do then Yes this money will be direct deposit!, This assumes the OP actually got a refund. Many people owe and don't get a refund. We haven't gotten a refund in years. But at least the IRS didn't get an interest-free loan from us.

If you’ve filed your taxes using direct deposit they have your banks routing and transmittal number. That will be enough.

If you owe money , it's the reverse. It's a direct withdrawal. Same account, same idea, in reverse.

The IRS prefers to make a direct deposit to your bank account, which is what they will do IF you provided your bank account # on your most-recently-filed tax return (2018 or 2019,) and IF your account # is associated with the same name and SS# under which you last filed.
If any of that doesn’t apply, you need to file your new info with the IRS. There are specific forms to do that.

I did the same thing on Friday. Download PDF 8822 ? From the irs site or Google it and fill up then mailed it. It’s a change of address form .
I’m old school. I prefer mail and don’t want the govt getting access to my bank account

Same here. Never received my refund but it’s small like 30 bucks. I prefer paying by money order and did so many times. Why would I give Irs access to my bsnk account?

IRS Form 8822:
Form 8822, Change of Address File it now, do not rely om USPS forwarding. Even better, efile your 2019 return.
If you have closed your bank account, the bank will reject the direct deposit, it will go back to the US Treasury, and eventually they will issue a check to the last address on file from the last return filed. Again, change your address using the 8822 now.

It's the government. Unless you're like the rich and most politicians who keep their wealth "offshore", they'll find all your assets when it come time to take them, "for the common good".
