Exactly. Heller ruling in 2008 didn’t change as much as I expected it to.

I wish Mitch had brought every one of them up for a floor vote to kill them.

You must have missed the illegal activity on the last $2.2 T "stimulus bill".

They were still making changes AFTER the vote was DONE!

When the assault on the Second Amendment reaches a tipping point, and I believe it will eventually, I wonder if a Governor of a state with a patriotic majority might formally declare a well regulated militia consisting of all vote eligible citizens with clean backgrounds. Restrictions on firearm ownership would seem to be moot in that case. Just musing...

It would also necessitate all firearm owners to obtain a federal firearms owner’s license,

How would DemocRats feel if journalists had to obtain a federal license to write articles and then receive permission from the government EVERY time they wanted to publish something?

The 922(o) ban on full-auto guns has an interesting exemption applicable to your scenario. The Left would be apoplectic if the end-run around their “semiautomatic assault weapon ban” (very carefully worded) let every Selective Service registrant (or whatever category specified) with a clean record buy new select-fire M4s at fair market value (about $1000). Go look up 922(o), exemption (2).

"Would a U.S. House bill ban assault weapons?"

There is no place in the USA where an assemblage of 218 imbeciles willing to vote for the stupidest, most un-Constitutional garbage imaginable can be collected -- other than the Democrat side of the US House of Representatives. Cases in point:

In a word, YES!

Is this it?...(2) This subsection does not apply with respect to— (A) a transfer to or by, or possession by or under the authority of, the United States or any department or agency thereof or a State, or a department, agency, or political subdivision thereof; ...If so, I read you loud and clear.

NO, fact, any Bill has to pass both houses and signed by the President in order to become Law. This is DOA in Senate and by Trump.

Doesn't matter.

The democrats are counting on the optics of bills like this and the ignorance of the people!

Ignorant people: The democrats are trying to protect us from those horrible, mean looking weapons but the Republicans wont let them!

Let's vote more of those nice democrats into office so they can protect us and our children!
