NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said Tuesday that the League is exploring every reasonable option for resuming the 2019-20 season and ensuring that it is ready to fully spring into action as soon as the "green light" is given by authorities and medical professionals.
"From an NHL standpoint, and I'm sure this is what the other leagues are doing, we're viewing all of our options," Commissioner Bettman said on "Lunch Talk Live" on NBCSN. "We want to be ready to go as soon as we get a green light, and the green light may not be crystal clear because there may still be some places in the country you can't play and other places where you can.
"We're looking at all options. Nothing has been ruled in, nothing has been ruled out. It's largely going to be determined what we do by how much time there is, because we have next season to focus on as well, and the health of the country, and by the country, I mean both Canada and the U.S., obviously."

Baseball wants empty stadiums in AZ. Of course no play no pay. I really missed the Masters
All of the ice has melted around me, though we may get another moderate layer of snow yet the is week.

I wonder which sport will be the first to say.. proceed.
Once one goes, most all will go.
I see no reason why sports can’t start now. Temperature checks. If your temperature is high, then you get a test for covid-19. If positive, isolation for 14 days.
But yeah. No fans for a while.
Playoffs were meant to start in about 3 days I believe.
Both NBA and NHL were 2 weeks away from the playoffs and the NBA TV contract specifically dictates the number of games. I have buds at Fox Sports here in L.A. and they explained a lot of things that tilts towards the NBA NOT allowing the season to fold.
I think they’ve put the season on ice.
The league that goes first reaps big rewards.
In AZ. we’re salivating that all of the MLB could play in Phoenix, every day, all day.....for a couple of months at least.
MLB realizes, too, the benefit of being the 1st live sports on TV.
It does amaze me that college football and the NFL have their knickers in a wad about playing in Sept. ???? 6 months from now ?
What a bunch of Debbie Downers. Wimps. Disgusting pessimists. Glass 3/4 empty.
DjT’s hunch will save the world.
Thunderstorms? We’re having the same thing here for 3 days now..
I hope they can just go straight into the playoffs instead of trying to hold all the rest of the regular season games.
That’s funny. I lived in Corona/Anaheim, and the Weather was always Sunny, and 90 Degrees. It was pretty windy alot also. Which helped on the Hot Days. No Mosquito ever bit me! Ain’t gonna be that lucky here in Michigan in a few weeks. :(
I can’t WAIT until hockey and baseball are back. Hockey’s never let me down. Baseball has. Especially lately with the Astros.
I’m a season ticket holder with the Kings. BUT being from Vancouver, if they come in, I wear my Canucks hat, which pisses off my other seat mates hehe. Baseball let you down? Im a long suffering M’s fan. You have it good, believe me..
..drop the puck and let’s go !
Even when they lift the siege, are there a lot of people who will rush to games, movie theaters, plays, concerts? It may be a long while before large crowds are a thing again. I love hockey but I will probably digest it on channel 157.
