Opening montage: Hawaii 5-0; created by an Iranian-American TV director by Reza Bayidi who also developed the open for the “Mary Tyler Moore” show. Bayidi directed over 400 hours of television during his career, including episodes of Hawaii 5-0.
Best theme song: Peter Gunn theme, by Henry Mancini. Here’s a fairly recent version by the Qatar Philharmonic; not often you hear a tuba substituting for the guitar and “driving” the arrangement, but it works very well:
