Sad really. I have no doubt that some politicians are using it as a political ploy. “Never let a crisis go to waste.” That still doesn’t mean it isn’t a crisis. Or in some places, just warrants some extra diligence.
Obviously we can’t hide at home forever - but I hope that most folks will do whatever they can to be safe.
I see the images out of China and Ecuador. Easy to believe that they are fake or whatever. I think some other poster awhile ago said that actual images of dying people or body bags in U.S. hospitals is what some people need to realize this isn’t just a hoax. But I’m glad we are too civilized for that.
Maybe this family’s pleas will resonate with some.

According to The Star, five such patients in Sabahs Sandakan and Kinabatangan tested positive for Covid-19 just two days after recovering from the virus.
On April 18, the state government had said that 35 patients in these areas were recovered. This number was revised two days later, The Star said.
According to the new website, the Sabah Health Department later confirmed that patients who were declared recovered had tested negative in two Covid-19 tests.
However, the five patients later tested positive again.
But this is not a unique situation to Malaysia. On April 19, CNN reported that 179 recovered patients in South Korea later tested positive for Covid-19 again.
You’d think Singapore would have figured out by now that it’s just the flu.

These #COVID19 treatments appear to help patients:
1. Proning to improve hypoxia & prevent intubation
2. HCQ/Zpak/Zinc if used early otherwise useless
3. Remdesivir
4. IL6 inhibition (we use Tocilizumab & Sarilumab)
***This is our experience but more studies are needed

Almost half of #SARSCoV2 transmission occurs before symptoms are present... #COVID19
READ: “Temporal dynamics in viral shedding and transmissibility of COVID-19”
The solution will deteriorate over time, when exposed to open air and light. Based on smell alone I’d say that even after a week it is still pretty strong though.
I’d mix it every few days to a week. We keep it under the sink in the dark.
When changing out the pump sprayer, I use the old mixture as weed killer around the yard. Works great.
Read gallon jug storage instructions...dark, cool area, call sealed tightly. At full strength, 10% bleach is corrosive and the fumes will cause oxidation of metals. Don’t store it near the Harley =o)
why should you wear a mask???...CDC told you not to..Surgeon General told you it was useless..flubros said dont worry..its just the flu no mask needed
but early early days a Dr here said you need to lessen the viral load...yep..it made sense. i wish I could remember his name. He was telling the flubros why you would worry and why it wasnt like the flu

Agreed with all the above have been using prednisone also but less now.
We anticoagulate everyone. Plasma seems to help but all protocols work best with low viral load. Dialysis and Echmo seems to increase mortality at times.testing is the critical issue.

RUSSIA
RUSSIA OVER 50 000
Number of infections in Russia rises above 50,000...
The Russian Crisis Center reports that a total of 5,642 new corona infections were detected in the last 24 hours.
Bringing the total number of infections to 52,763. The growth was therefore greater than Monday. In the past 24 hours, 51 Covid-19 patients died in Russia. There are now 456 people in that country who have succumbed to the virus. The number of corona cases in Russia has risen sharply in recent days.

Has anyone posted an updated graph of major countries (top 20 at most) daily (new) fatalities, recently?
I looked at a few, mostly Euro countries that got hit a little earlier than the US, and my impression is that the daily fatalities numbers do not fall off rapidly - that is, not in “bell curve” fashion. (Actually, one country’s curve was bell shaped, but I don’t recall which.) UK (3-day average) was still going UP, yesterday, IIRC.
Seen as a group, the curves would be useful. It’d also be useful to note any easing of restrictions if such has occurred in these countries.*
The slow decline in fatalities in the face of continued “lockdowns” (I believe?) in countries that are ahead of us is worrisome. With the US already over 42k fatalities, and gradually reopening, I could see us still reaching nearly 80k fatalities by June 1. That may be a price we just have to pay - this country cannot stay locked down, or even 50% staying home, much longer.
*Incidentally, a friend in Norway reports restrictions being eased there, however, I do not believe Norway was ever hit hard. They have only 182 fatalities out of a population of 5.368 million people. I would not be surprised if they have fewer CV + flu deaths in the last month than they would have had if everything was “normal” with flu taking it’s typical toll. What’d they do right?
even dummies (non scientists) here could have figured this out long ago

Im now convinced we need to look at severe #COVID19 as disease with 3 overlapping & connected elements- respiratory, cardiovascular, immunological- with ACE playing a key role. This is an excellent review: https://ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.120.047549

Thanks. Thats the one I keep an eye on. The CR vs Sweden stats.
It’s a real story
You can blame it on Chinese propaganda if not true
Thanks to both of you :-)
