Lenox Square and at least eight other malls and shopping centers in the Atlanta region plan to reopen Friday, the latest sign of businesses reviving after the coronavirus shutdown.

Lenox Square will open on a reduced schedule, General Manager Robin Suggs said in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Other malls in the area owned by Simon Property Group, including Phipps Plaza, Mall of Georgia, Town Center at Cobb and Sugarloaf Mills in Gwinnett County, will also open, Suggs said.

All of the Simon malls will open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. They have been closed since March 18.

The common-area sections of Lenox Square may be open Friday, but some stores may remain closed. Jacqueline King, a spokeswoman for Macy’s Inc., which owns Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, declined to comment whether the stores would reopen.

All hail Governor Kemp, the bravest governor in America.
Meanwhile, they’d better watch out for the Dems trying to sneak in coronavirus infected New Yorkers to make sure Gov Jemp fails.
Vigilance.

There's a great mall about 3 minutes from me which is a good place to shop and a great place to walk.Underground parking for bad weather...great place. Our RINO Governor, who's never missed an opportunity to express his contempt for the President, has just declared that we're shut down until at least mid June.

If tanking the state's economy is what it takes to bring down the President he'll do it.On February 1st our unemployment rate was,IIRC,2.2%...now it's about 25%.

Good for them! Sanity!

LIBERATE WISCONSIN!

I’d REALLY like to spend some time with my dying Dad. I know it’s probably too much to ask my dip-shiite Dem Governor. :(

Caring for a family member comes under essential travel. A friend recently traveled to the east cost to be with his dying father, and to arrange and attend the funeral.

I noticed today mattress stores are open and considered “essential” in the state of Florida.

It’s not a matter of travel, it’s a matter of his care facility being in 100% lock down - which I agree with wholeheartedly.

They started a week before the even needed to - they’re that good; I am VERY pleased with his care. No cases of Wuhan Flu for staff or ‘inmates’ as Dad calls them. They have Skype (or whatever) set up, but he’s legally blind, so that does no good. I can talk to him on the phone, but most of the conversation is getting him to remember who I am. :(

It just sucks because he brightens up considerably when I hold his hand, he hears my voice, etc. He has cancer and we’re going down the palliative care road right now through all of this.

I know I’m not the only one apart for a loved one in all of this, and we’ve had two deaths in the family recently - and both of those funerals are on hold for now, too.

Wisconsin is NOT a hot spot or epicenter in ANY of this, and our state economy is being trashed by willful, stupid, awful DEMOCRATS.

But Shannon Mall and Cobb Center won’t be re-opening. I was surprised to see that Greenbriar still exists. I thought it had died a decade or more ago.
