I personally think the '70's had much better Classic Rock Songs but that's just me.
Here we go:
10. Money For Nothing - Dire Straits
9. Radio Free Europe - R.E.M.
8. Hells Bells - AC/DC
7. Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue
6. Born In The USA - Bruce Springsteen
5. Pride And Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan
4. Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
3. Tom Sawyer - Rush
2. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2
1. Sweet Child O Mine - Guns N Roses
Where’s One-Metallica?
Panama should be on there.
I agree. I do have a fondness for ‘80’s rock and metal though, and I’m not sure why. I was born in ‘87, so I missed the boat. I listen to a lot of Doro and similar bands, on top of a little bit of every kind of rock or metal from AC/DC onward.
I have pretty wide taste, actually. Even hip-hop until about 1996, because it went to crap after that. Not into pop though, of any kind. Country is tolerable, but I’m in Chicago, so I don’t hear a lot of it, but I’ll always listen to Blues and Jazz; particularly swing.
That list is a bunch of crap.
If that list is the best of the 80s, then let’s just forget the 80s and never mention them again.
The official Sweet Child o’ Mine video has over a billion views on Youtube.

“Born in the USA”? Springsteen doesn’t even like that song! (Probably because us plebes took it at face value and thought it was a feel-good patriotic theme)
Gimme All Your Lovin’ - ZZ Top
de gustibus non est disputandum
I like REM and U2, but I’m not sure I would consider these songs “classic rock” songs. Maybe “alternative rock,” but not classic.
Lists like this are so subjective so as to be useless.
All of these songs would cause me to stop pushing buttons for three minutes. And Ive paid money for most of themin one form or another.
But, best....not sure.
Not a bad list altho I’ve never acquired a taste for the not-the-boss-of-me. Opinions are like ... you know.
SiriusXM 177 just completed the Top 1000 Classic Pop Songs (1955-72) and just started the Top 1000 Alternative Songs. After that I think will be the Top 1000 Classic Rock Songs which will start in 1972 and run thru... who knows? But it will be fun to hear, even though I think the year delineations are somewhat arbitrary. Clearly the 70s will dominate.
Hallowed Be Thy Name - Iron Maiden
no alice cooper? :(
Not crazy about that list- it’s ok- but not my idea of cool rock sings- I think maybe because they played them till we got sick of hearing them- the 80’s was a weird time for rock- they were flirting with ‘ballard-like’ rock songs a lot- the only one that I liked for ballard-like rock was cooper- just because his ballards were so disturbing in content- edgy- very different-

Agreed-
rock was dead in the 1980’s, especially compared to the 70’s...
I generally don’t like post-Gabriel Genesis, but “Turn It On Again” (released 1980) was one of the better songs of the 1980s.
“1. Sweet Child O Mine - Guns N Roses “
ROTFLMAO!
“Only Time Will Tell” - Asia
“You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” - Judas Priest
“Who Made Who” - AC/DC
“Too Young To Fall In Love” - Motley Crue
“Modern Day Cowboy” - Tesla
“Bark At The Moon” Ozzy Ozbourne
“Running With The Devil” Van Halen
Those are just a few that come tomind...
