I was 5 years old and have no memory of this at all.

I was in the Army in 69 to 72 and never heard of it either......

And FWIW, I never heard of the Apollo 13 space mission either. Kinda weird looking back on those days, never once did I watch the TV and can't even remember if we had one in the barracks........Since I was in Central America at the time, anything on TV would have been in Spanish anyways......LOL!

One thing to remember- in 1968-69, our society wasn't as litigious. Lawyers weren't allowed to make commercials.

On the other hand, smoking was common and widespread. There's studies that show that nicotine fights coronavirus.

America was better when they allowed smoking commercials, and banned lawyer commercials.

On top of that, they had to deal with the brown acid.

I survived Woodstock but I was 100 miles away from those stinking NY City hippies. I didn't hear about it until weeks after (or I may have gone cruising for chicks).

Vietnam has become the talking point in regards to our losses there and the Chinaflu.

We are seeing the consequences of the “chickification” of the American population.

We live in fear instead of fighting.

The liberals’ answer to this information about 1968-69 will be “So, you want 100,000 to die this time, because you are a racist-sexist-homophobe-bigot-fascist-capitalist-Trump lover?”
